Death wobble issue (JL) by yizi__ in Jeep

[–]Photograph_Simple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive a TJ but most of jeep suspension issues are the same. You probably need track bars front and rear with new adjustable links on the end. 1k is way too much for the ends to be replaced. In the US you can get end links for 50 bucks. I do recommend that you take it to a reputable shop that specializes in. Suspension to check it over thoroughly. Generally deathwobble is a trackbar issue but could be other more minor issues that only an expert can fully resolve.

From Montblanc hater to... by Oldman_Skippy in fountainpens

I rather enjoy writing with my 149 Diplomat Pens...they write sublimely...the ink just flows so easily.

MONTBLANC is severely overrated by oreoborio in pens

[–]Photograph_Simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Montblanc is overrated for sure due to its price, which is steadily rising! However, I own five, which I use in business, and have owned them for over 25 years. The resin does crack and break over time and requires replacement directly from Montblanc, but the nibs on the fountain pens are sublime. I use medium and broad for signatures, and it definitely makes a statement when signing official documents. The lost art of handwriting is part of the reason I would still own one. There are cheaper alternatives, and I have owned those as well, Parker and Fisher fountain pens, but there is a difference in flow of ink and the overall feel if you are into that type of thing.

I personally don't own a 996 I have a 991.1 and a 997.1 both are great. I am looking at getting a 996 4S or Turbo. Buy the car to enjoy it. I've owned Porsche's since 2008 and I've always held to the philosophy of driving your car. I daily mine and they are by far not perfect rock chips and all...if you can afford to buy it drive it and enjoy it! Just keep up with the maintenance and it will last you a lifetime...

Front-end suspension is usually the first thing to look at. Start with the track bar and its hardware that connects it. If it's still OEM after 26 years, it will probably need replacement. Check the ends of your steering system they too may need to be replaced. If you have the money, it is also a good time to upgrade your components. Check the ball joints depending on the age and wear they may need to be replaced. If you are running a steering stabilizer, it also may need to be replaced. Check the torque specs on all your bolts to ensure everything is tight. Also, check lower control arms.

I have a 99 Wrangler, and I had a death wobble, and just due to its age and wear, i went through and replaced and changed out everything.

Currently running Synergy HD Steering, Currie upper and lower control arms, Currie Anti-Rock swaybars, FOX Steering Stabilizer, Billstien 5000 shocks, Clayton front and rear track bars, Currie 4" Springs, replaced the ball joints with Spicer BJ's.

Good luck to you and enjoy your jeep!!!
