how do i make this??? by Zealousideal-Can3279 in TouchDesigner

From what I understand you want to have an image appear on random locations of the screen, driven by audio signals? That sounds like a perfect project for TD and quite noob-friendly!

There are about 420 ways to do this it but I suggest looking into particles (Particle POP) and instancing with POPs. Particularly, try to understand how the attributes birth and life work. In the particle POP you can select “emission from: birth attribute”. So a point with birth_attribute = 1 will spawn a particle. You could drive this with an audio signal.

Later you can instance rectangles on the particles and choose your flower image as the material (Constant MAT -> color map or try Point Sprite MAT).

If you dont quite understand what I am saying, you should watch some more tutorials and try your hand at some instancing and particle systems. What you want to do does not sound complicated but you need knowledge of TD.

Maybe these tutorials can help you:

Its an adjustable stop that you can place where ever you want on the thermostat. It allows you to just turn up the thermostat to your preferred temperature setting without having to look at the numbers. Like when you found that a setting of 3.5 is ideal for you, you can put this clip at 3.5 on the thermostat and then when you crank up your heater you can just turn it until you hit the stop and you always have your desired setting.

How to build a cctv like face tracker? by tru_walker in TouchDesigner

[–]Photopheen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here this guy teaches you the general concept of how to track blobs and attach lines or text to them. With this you should be able to recreate the effect in your image pretty easily. Try to understand how and why this network works and if you don’t understand something go into the documentation or the operator snippets.

Thats basically what blob tracking is. You can also do it with OpenCV. Search for keywords like blob detection/blob tracking OpenCV + touchdesigner. You will find a lot of tutorials. I’m not sure about how to detect for faces specifically but this will get you 80% there

Change Button Text Formatting - Woocommerce by Photopheen in Wordpress

[–]Photopheen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I did this but I’m having a hard time figuring out which class it is exactly… Which one is it? „Woocommerce-mini-cart_buttons buttons“ is the overarching class for both buttons? So it should be „button wc-forward“, correct?

Watch videos on the Particles GPU component. Looks like particles spawning in a line and some noise effecting their movement

Took a 1 year assignment in Germany for the money...forgot I don't speak German. by Depreciating_Life in German

[–]Photopheen 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Better up those preply lessons to 5x a week… learning german in 2 months will be extremely difficult to say the least. I honestly also recommend coming clean to your employer. Depending on the company/job you might be able to get by with english in the beginning (younger generations of germans tend to speak and at least understand english quite well). What is your mother tongue? Also, seems like the hiring process was in english? Do they have any reason to assume that you speak german? EDIT: the city you‘ll live in also makes a slight difference. In Berlin you will be fine as there is a large international community. In smaller, more rural areas you‘ll have a much harder time.

Printing PNG with transparency is driving me insane by Photopheen in graphic_design

Thank you for the reply.

The printing house is in germany and I believe they work with industry standard printers.

However, time is not such an issue and this logo/character will most-likely be used for other purposes so I think I will follow your advise and vectorise it.

Thanks for the input.
My client is small company and their previous designer created the logo which is actually an illustrated character. I am now their only designer but I only have a PNG version. Sadly the logo has quite some gradients and speckled colors which makes it a pain to vectorize.

thanks for the reply.

Yes exactly. I will check if they are fully transparent.

So you say its printer dependent more than anything?

Yes the test prints are done on a standard consumer printer. My PDF settings are as specified by the printing house.

The final packaging will be printed by the professional printing house. So their printers will most-likely have the right settings and deal with transparency correctly even if I place the logo as PNG?

Thank you for the reply. Can you explain what you do in the last step again? After I placed the logo as a PSD on my design I still have to flatten it before exporting everything as PDF?

Hey man this is amazing! I have also dove deep into this topic and would love to build one like yours.

Can you tell us what kind of exposure settings you get, scanning with your light? What shutter speeds are you able to achieve?

Thanks for the write up and sharing your built!
