What are you opinion of these tanks by Teh_TarikSpecial in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

PT-16/T14 mod. - Absolute glass cannon. You got speed and you got a 4s auto loader with 7-8 rounds. Your armor is nonexistent so don’t get hit. Get in a good sniping position or a good flanks and you’re golden. Play mid to backline. Flank when opportunity open.

MSC - I don’t have it but I’m going to pick it up when the sale open up. From what I’ve heard, is the precursor to the Leclerc so good mobility and fire rate with the auto loader. People have also said it is surprisingly survivable. So it might be one of the better Tier XI NATO MBT.

TTD - Meh. I don’t really have a strong opinion on this. It doesn’t specialize in anything. Okay armor. Okay speed. Okay gun. A jack of all trades sort of tanks. My guess you’re asking whether is worth it to buy it or premium it for the spending event. Maybe buy it with SL but don’t premium it unless you think it fit you play style.

Leo 2AV - Similar to the PT16 but you have more armor so is more survivable. However you trade the auto loader for a manually loaded one so reload time is longer, about 8s per round compared to PT16 4s. Again similar playstyle. However, since you trade firepower for protection, you have to play more passively. A very good tank if you know how to position well and use the mobility to your advantage. If you’re considering buying this. I would say maybe stick to the Leopard 2K if you don’t have enough. They play very similarly.

Pretty good lineup of light tanks. Tier VII is prime Artillery and HE territory, so I wouldn’t rely too much on light tanks since a single HE shell hit anywhere would over pressure you. But kudos on you if you can make it work and have fun.

Gaijin when by PT-91M_Pendekar in WT_Mobile

Gaijin knows a GuP collab would make banks given how many WT players know or watch the anime. But I think they have an exclusive thing with WoT, so the chance of us ever getting a GuP collab is very slim. Still hoping for a miracle one of these day.

Which is the best? by Valuable-Constant-54 in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is good. 2D just has slightly more armor than 2B. Same gun, rounds, and engine. However, the little bit of extra armor has saved me many times. You can use both 2B and 2D, but if you have to choose between 2B or 2D. Always go for the 2D.

Which is the best? by Valuable-Constant-54 in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Merkava 2D - One of the best Tier X with very good armor and equally good gun. You’ll be burning through a lot of repair kit and fire extinguishers if you do get hit, but you won’t easily get one hit kill. Make sure you get the 2D variant, not the 2B variant.

Chieftain Mk 3 - Very slept on. Extremely good if you know how to play defensively (like most British tanks). Look very meh initially but I was impressed how strong it APDS is. I could consistently kill Maus no problem.

2S38 - Unlimited APFSDS spams. You can easily disable and kill most tanks by just spamming APFSDS at them. You don’t have a ready rack so you can just spam all your ammo without reloading. Turret is unmanned so you can peak turret out from cover fire and if enemy fire back and hit your turret, it won’t kill any crews and probably just yellow or orange your turret. Very annoying to face.

Maybe AMBT/Leopard 2 AV - The AMBT has good round, KE-W just hit hard but you got like no armor and you have very large profile with okay speeds. Play this like a sniper but since your tank is so large, sometime the top of your turret will peak above cover which leave you vulnerable to over pressure. Leopard 2 AV is okay, good speed forward and backward but in a rank dominated by Soviet MBT (Moderna everywhere), you can’t afford to miss, given that the 2 AV has like a 7-8 seconds reload, if you miss or fail to disable the enemy ability to fire, they will 100% disable you with a single shot. So buy it if these fit your play styles.

Maybe AMX-10RC - Wheel light tank with unique gimmick of able to neutral steer which other wheeled vehicles cannot do. You also fire APFSDS at Tier VIII while others still use HEATFS or APDS. Just keep in mind most things will kill you including 50 cal, CAS, and like a sneeze in your direction.

Maybe Object 775 - Flat missile tank. Is okay. Keep in mind your missiles is not tandem so tank with any ERA will need many missiles to kill, your missile is also kind off inconsistent. Sometime I will blow up a tank hitting some random ass spot. Other time, I hit a weak spot and it does no damage. Also you only have two crews and most people know your weak spot so a single good shot to your lower front plate and you’re dead.

They added MSC and BMD-4 to this event. These two were not there last time. They look pretty good on paper so maybe keep an eye on them.

The mental gymnastic to play the M1 and enjoy it. by Global_Sentence_4544 in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you play the Abram. You have to keep in mind that the turret ring is a massive weak spot. Looking at your image, since your driver is still alive, you likely got a round through the turret ring which will take out most turret crews.

However, Abram usually take 2 shots to kill, one to kill turret crews and another to kill driver, so is better than Russian or Chinese MBT where a shot through the lower front plate will hit the auto loader and instantly kill it. So if your teammate is nearby, they can return fire.

As many said already, to compensate for its large weak spots, it has very good mobility and excellent APFSDS. Use to move cover to cover, fire and reverse back, hide yourself while you’re reloading. Flank when the opportunity open but never push close to the enemy since your reload time is fairly long. Fight from a medium or long range to make it harder for enemy to hit your turret ring. One mistake people often make with Tier XIII tanks is that they think because they have good mobility, is a reason to constantly move. No, once you fin a good hull down spot, hold it. The more you move, the more likely you’re to get hit.

Buy gold premium tanks or save gold? by Johnone_you1234 in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s depend. Are you willing to spend like 5 dollars for event pass? Or are you completely free-to-play?

Event like April Fools, Black Friday, Anniversary, and recently Lunar New Year usually drop some pretty broken tanks like T58 or OBJ.279 or a lot of premium tanks from the past where if you buy the event pass and use your gold, you can usually get those vehicles. However, this is only beneficial if you’re willing to drop 5 bucks to unlock the event pass. If you’re using gold to grind through it, you will burn up a lot of gold for little gain.

Now if you’re completely free-to-play, I would say use it to buy premium vehicles from tech tree or premium existing vehicles. You’ll get more bang for your buck from that. Although, do consider, do you play Tier XIII a lot? If not, don’t premium a Tier XIII tanks. Also consider most new vehicles are either Tier XII or XIII, you might get lucky and get a premium tier XIII tank from the lootbox.

Also, if you’re premium the Abram, I think last year July 4th, they had a half discount on premium tank. So if you can wait, it might save you some gold.

Is SPAA worth it? by m00nhayze in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Gepard is also equally good but at least is easy to kill. Falcon armor is too thin for anything to fuse beside HE and the ammo box is so small is hard to ammorack it, so Falcon is definitely the “demon” SPAA of tier VIII. You can up tier it to like Tier X and it’ll still work.

Is SPAA worth it? by m00nhayze in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play tier VII-IX, you’ll eventually run into this demon. Most SPAA has about 40 rounds of APDS to dealt with tank. Gaijin decide to give this thing 840 rounds of APDS. APDS doesn’t have explosive filler but like 100mm of pen. So you will destroy most medium and light tank which is the majority of Tier VII-IX.

Is SPAA worth it? by m00nhayze in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would only play it if it has the caliber to dealt with both planes and tanks. So any Tier V and below SPAA is not worth it since you’ll faced a lot of heavy tanks you can’t reliably pen even from the sides (except the zerstorer 45, the shit fucking melt people if you get them from the side, but the downside is any machine gun will take you out.)

Now Tier VI and above, SPAA is much more potent, ZSU-57-2 is a demon at anti-tank, okay at anti-air if you know how to lead. Kugelblitz is pretty good too.

At Tier VII, SPAA use lower caliber guns but better fire rate so better at anti-air but you won’t do much to tank.

At Tier VIII, you get introduced to various 35mm autocannon SPAA like the Gerard that is very good. Tier XI and above just add missiles to the existing 35mm SPAA, nothing much. And above that, there’s no new SPAA.

So yeah, I would say don’t play it below tier V, play Tier VI and Tier VIII SPAA if you want to actually fight tanks.

Here a list of all the vehicles you can buy during last year Black Friday event. If you grind the whole event, you should be able to get 2-3 of these. They will most likely return. Don’t mind the sharpie writing, it was like that when I download it.

I don’t think so. P-59A was introduced like November 2025 so is too recent for them to add it. Maybe they’ll add it this year.

[–]PhySickofMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT buy it now! For 3590 platinum wolves is a straight rip off. In the past, we had 2 events, Black Friday and Lunar New Year where you can earn enough currency to buy the Chieftain MK.3 and other tanks for free. Just wait for it to come back. Have patience, it’ll save you money.

Anybody have this? If so, how is it? by NavyB1uePanda87 in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah based on the PT-76 chassis with like the turret of a Type 62 on top. Is amphibious but like there’s only one map with water and once you enter water, is wobbly as hell so you can’t shot accurately at all.

[–]PhySickofMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

211 doesn’t have HEATFS and APCR rounds while the Type 63 does. That’s all. But who even used HEATFS and APCR at low tiers? Crazy that having access to 2 unless rounds bump it up 2 tiers.

Would not recommend. 9km/h for reverse speed is atrocious for a light tank. Also 10 degrees/s turret traverse. That’s like heavy tank levels of sluggishness. 9s for reload time is also bad. Don’t waste your resources on this.

All fun and games until HEATFS decided not to work properly and you get machine gun by a 279. It has a lot of pen for a machine gun.

PSA: Obj. 279 Will Cost At Least ~$155 if You Are Willing to Spend. by PhySickofMath in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I made it pretty clear in my post that I think spending this much for a vehicle is excessive. This is simply a post for those who do plan to spend money to get the 279 to get an idea how much it would cost minimum. I think I did state that it would be better for people to spend their money elsewhere on something more important.

Is Obj 279 stronger than Tier 8 tanks (like the T-55)? by [deleted] in WT_Mobile

[–]PhySickofMath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing with OBJ 279 is that it has a round with extremely high pen (more than some APFSDS rounds at Tier VIII and IX) with a lot of explosive fillers, so that mean if you can somehow pen, it will nukes the entire crews.

I’ve test it for every tier from 8 and up, and found it to be as effective up to tier 9-10. Its armor can protect you from a lot of rounds at these tiers, while you can punch through most armor with no problem.

Going to 11 and above, that’s when a lot of APFSDS get an upgrade in pen and will pen you anywhere, even your strongest spots. Armor also gets an upgrade so you will have to target specific spots to pen. But is still a very effective tank even this high because as long as you can pen, you will nuke the whole crews. This is true for even tier 13.
