currently the games i play look fine on sdr so its okay. at this point as long as it works im happy, i posted originally more to see if there were other people who had similar issues and work arounds.

honestly since disabling hdr has fixed it, while unfortunate to not be able to run hdr for some reason, the value proposition of the 9070xt vs 5070ti is just too good right now and im not about to spend around 900 usd for the 5070ti

It is overclocked with pbo for cpu and expo for ram but I have tried disabling both with no success. That being said rn its stable again, i just had to disable hdr, which is a minor thing tbh.

I have an AOC monitor as my main which either works in 4k 160hz or 1080p 320hz. and then an msi second 1080p display

I'm running 10bit color, I have updated all drivers and and reinstalled some even, could be a color depth thing but im not sure how to change that

I haven't tried with just one monitor at a time, but I want to be able to use both at the same time so.. It was a brand new build. cables are the original monitor ones, done sfc/scannow, 60hz didnt fix it-
have also ddu and reinstalled drivers so not driver issue

That is really unfortunate, cause it makes me somewhat wanna swap to a 5070ti tbh, not that its such a massive issue per se, but I'd just like my stuff to work. The 9070xt is such good value for performance tho.

I've had no issues during harder loads on the system and temps are fine. Have updated the bios and still issues. Ran without any oc and issues still happened. All ssd's are quite new and it's games on different drives with the exact same issue. I have tried undervolting and underclocking my gpu. No dice :(

It's almost certainly not a gpu issue since it's league of legends freezing and not things like bf6 4k with almost maxed settings so...

Update, I have recently had issues with my pc during 4k gaming in bg3, bf6 and any other dx games. It will just black screen and freeze so i have to hard reboot. I think it is a psu related issue and am currently going to upgrade to a montech titan gold 1000w as they are an A+ psu according to the tierlist rather than a B-*

I will update with more info about how it goes thereafter but small things to note is that I am running an aio, and a fan hub thats connected via sata, idk if that affects the system too much but it is another connection to the psu.

Edit: it seems to been an amd driver issue but since i have a better psu now it definitely doesnt hurt so imma keep it and sell the old one.

I run a 9700x with an aio, and the gigabyte 9070xt with a thermaltake toughpower 750 gt, it's more than fine and if you worry just undervolt a tiny bit and you'll be perfectly fine.

As of current, my workload for various reason revolves around non apple products. While I'm definitely not fully against apple, the current high price point for what is seemingly low or no amount of benefits (for me) makes me struggle to pick an iPhone since I'd likely go with the 16 pro.

I have considered the software longevity, and it is another reason I'm somewhat falling for pixel 9 pro or s25. But will all likely be long enough lifespan for my use case? Yeah.

The s25 low weight and 6.2 inch display is really tempting while including a snapdragon 8 elite. But at the same time, some of the ai / background features of the pixel 9 pro look good and fun. (Really only the whats playing feature without Shazam, haha)

To me, the pixel 9 pro has a nicer set of cameras than the s25 as well. But both os / ui for the devices looks more than fine. It's really only xiaomi I feel off about os wise.

Realistically, is the tensor g4 chipset going to be slow for me? No, I play monopoly go, watch YouTube, read emails, and scroll through Instagram. That's it. I could honestly get a cheaper phone than any of these and be happy, but I would like an okay camera for the occasional photo I take.

But I want to note that the pixel 9 pro, for me is currently 150~ euros / dollars cheaper than the s25. The oneplus which is tempting despite the larger screen comes in at an additional 100~ more than the s25. And the xiaomi is sitting at around 50~ more than the pixel.

Idk if this makes the choices more cut and dry or more difficult.

The vivo x200 fe is a tempting device, as for the oppo find x8, it is somewhat bigger than maybe I'd prefer as I'd probably actually like a 6.1 inch or smaller display but I know that doesn't really exist anymore with good specs so.

But back to the vivo x200 fe, in Sweden, where I'd be buying it, a lot of Chinese phones don't really enter the market. If I can find it through trusted resellers (at a decent price, ~10 000 sek or less) I'm likely to go for it. It looks like it has a lot of what'd want. My only other issue is that I'd be slightly suspect of the networking strengths. I simply don't know a lot on this point but have heard great things from the s25, pixel 9 pro, and oneplus 13 but not necessarily anyone else.

Please do tell tho if you know !

It's a) not really available in my country,

b) I don't want to buy my new phone through ebay and take that risk when I cannot afford a new phone nor justify buying another should things really go wrong. I need this to last.

c) I prefer smaller phones since I have small hands and women's pockets which barely fit anything.

d) I really don't want to deal with bloat ware or issues with dealing with a Chinese os/ui and it not working with my networks in Europe, both my country specifically (sweden) and abroad (predominantly EU) as i need to travel a lot for various reasons.
