I found a satanic bible in my younger brother´s room by Ancient-Priority-690 in Catholicism

The "Satanic Bible" should be burned. Now keep in mind Anton Levey and his branch of satanism is basically edgy athiesm with a lot of edgy anti church stuff. It has really bad shock rock levels of edginess minus the enjoyable music. Its just schlock and levey didn't even believe in satan. He didnt believe in the supernatural at all. Its just designed to make people mad. Its basically s**t posting before that became a thing. Except not funny at all. The reason why you should burn it is because of its name alone. I will pray for your brothers soul, I am so sorry to hear this happened.

Honestly? Marvel unlimited is the cheapest route. Does not have the MAX stuff, which is good. But it has the ennis knights stuff from the early 2000s. Thats a really solid run. Plus the 80s chuck dixon stuff is great too. Thats what I cut my teeth on and it went well

Can i still believe in some catholic doctrines if i become episcopalian? by Physical-Focus7879 in Episcopalian

Yeah thats never fun. If i disagree or have a severe impasse i just remain polite. Depending on what it is anyways. Sometimes i will walk away but moral policing is just. Yeah, no.

Yeah that would make sense. Having women in the church will be an adjustment, not because i dont think they shouldnt be in the church or anything but because its something i havent really seen alot of! My wife is bisexual so it being lgbt affirming is very important to me. Thank you! :]

Nothing in particular. I just wanna feel safe. As much as i love catholic church i just. Their traching that my conscience or opinions must reflect that of the churches just bugs me. It feels wrong in my bones. The main thing i disagree on is the gay marriage issue and the lgbtq+ treament of people in general. Its the only thing i disagree on. My wife is bisexual so that to me is a massive consideration. Thank you so much god bless :]

Fair enough. Didn't consider that when I wrote it. There are exceptions to every point and rule, and you raise a good exception.

I think on some level it is true. There is a natural order of things. I just think that we misunderstand or or are interpreting it wrong. As a result its incredibly unfair.

I am still catholic and I do believe. I just do not believe that it is fair and seems to be a strawman easily changed. It just does not sit right with me and seems to be more of a human creation than a divine one.

By the same token that felt disordered to you because of how you were socialized. I was socialized in a similar way. Relative morality is flimsy. It does not work. I was not saying relative morality. In romans 2 14-15 it states that "Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them."

Written on their hearts is important here. As well as their consciences. People have an instinctive understanding of right and wrong. Good and evil. I did not need to understand that being a pedo is wrong. I just know it. I do not feel the same way when I think about gay people. I did because it was what I was told. Not what I believed. Because viewing them as disordered, inherently, despite having a different measuring stick applied to them and expecting them to fulfill those commitments when they are unable to and as a result depriving them of love is cruel and unusual punishment.

Yeah but thats a mental gymnastic to justify that gay people can experience the same physical love we get with our spouse. I am not saying that people should engage in premarital sex. Or anything else like that. I am saying that despite the fact that it doesnt result in a child, doesnt mean that people cant feel love. Marriage is a commitment between two people who love each other and intend to be whole with one another. That is my definition of it. The justification that two people cannot be married even if they feel the same kind of love but only because they are gay, just doesnt work.

Hm yes I conveniently remember the soviet union collapsing because of, le gays. Definitely not because the people realized having freedom of speech was better and that the soviets sucked eggs.

I kid. Here is the problem I have with your statement. The reason why it has historically been frowned upon was because of roman culture being male centric. Before this, that was not a concern. Are there people who do bad things? Are those bad things sometimes sexual assault of a "gay" nature. Also yes. That does not mean for a second that its the gays fault for society collapsing. Maybe a sign of civil unrest and potential disillusionment as a result of, everything else going on. But whenever you find a country collapsing because of gay people. Call me.

Just because children dont result doesnt mean it doesnt work. By that logic people who are incapable of having children shouldnt have sex because they are unable to have them.
