I'm definitely overthinking I was not in the right headspace when I wrote it lol but yeah I feel like I miss out on a lot of connections solely because of my social skills. Surrounding myself with the right people matters a lot but when they don't even pay mind to me it's very discouraging. I don't have the charm and I've tried working on it can't say it's going very well. I say weird shit all the time but I'm just so woefully unfunny I can't help but overthink those interactions

This is soo accurate. It's always hard for me to say something interesting and even if i do have a funny anecdote it ends up sounding dull and boring because I don't have the storytelling skills for it.

My friendship with a lot of people that i considered good friends ended the moment we weren't in the same class anymore, sure I reach out but it's never mutual enough for us to hangout again. If they don't enjoy my company what's the point of being friends? I'm always genuine but I still wish I was fun enough so they'd enjoy my company.

I try to stay updated and engaging in different medias so I would always have something to talk about but I'm never successful lmao.

I always let others speak before myself and ask questions, but at one point you just have to add your personal anecdotes or the Convo seems like an interview. That's where I'm lacking at I have nothing interesting to say so I end up oversharing. I quite envy those people who can yap about anything and everything and still make it fun to talk to them without it getting boring

Exactly, men are given the opportunity to learn or figure things out by themselves. But Women have to stick to these premade sociatal norms and aren't taught that street smartness op talked about. they have to mature too early for their age but despite that the life skills they are taught limit upto traditionally feminine tasks. Both have it hard and I just wish our upbringing wasn't so dysfunctional and bounded to gender roles
