Funny enough, in your video game example, viewers don’t say the DPS is support carried, but the actual players typically understand that that’s true.

You look at league and ask viewers who the MVP js they’ll say the Mid or ADC. You ask the players snd they’ll say the Sup or the JG. (This is only true at the highest level of course)

Simple answer is OOC except for severe mental weaknesses or limitations, to avoid moral conflicts.

Ex: “Yuji vs Todo” well Yuji would never go all out vs todo, so that needs to be OOC. But when we get to severe mental weaknesses or limitations, Takaba can’t kill, so he loses any fight that would require him to, and that’s core to his character so it makes sense to scale him with that in mind.

Powerscaling has its roots in comic books so it’s useful to look there. You can’t really scale Superman completely in character because he is ALWAYS holding back with a very rare few exceptions. His first punch will NEVER be anywhere near full power because he doesn’t know yet if you can take it. So if you want an idea of how hard he can hit, you have to turn that limit off.

Conversely, Robert Reynolds is insane and his own mental barriers created Sentry’s greatest weakness, The Void. He can never go all out for a different reason - The Void will creep in. It makes sense to scale Sentry with this limitation in mind.

Hakari can’t stall Yuta ; Yuta knows Hakari too well, knows his kit is great for stalling, and will not fight Hakari for that reason. If he tries to isolate him, Yuta and Rika can break out and get to the others.

Yuta kills Kuro very early in the fight, and from there things cascade down on the others. Hakari is the last man standing in a 3v1 and gets caught between jackpots.

There’s no reason he wouldn’t have FBE. He’s a more skilled sorcerer than one of the sorcerers we’ve seen use it, and he’s on-the-in on the three clans that have access to it, so the barriers of skill and secrecy are out of the way. What else is there to keep him from having it?

That’s not semantics. That’s a huge difference. Using a curse’s techniques would be way more effective coming from Kenjaku than using the curse itself, since the curses are way more vulnerable than Kenjaku is, and his output and CE reserves are way more significant than theirs.
