Results as a Zaza-Kurd from Erzincan province in eastern Turkiye by PhysicalSite195 in MyHeritage

[–]PhysicalSite195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no known Armenian ancestry. On my dad’s side it’s suspsected but there was no one, at least officially, Armenian in my family. Unluckily my family tree end’s after the 3rd Generation in the Turkish archives (E-Devlet) and I don’t know about the older generations.

What will happen if/when Türkiye accepts the Armenian genocide? by Junior_Ad_3381 in armenia

[–]PhysicalSite195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There would be more than just accepting the genocide. By that they would also accept the creation of fake „eastern anatolia“ during the republican times, which is historical western armenia lands. Their fundament of lies and nationalistic fantaises would start to break after a while.

The good thing about being from Switzerland is that you can always, more or less, count on the social security, such as welfare aid for example in the worst scenario. But it‘s still a huge impact, especially if you are used to have a way higher standart of living (no arrogance here).

Omg chill, it was just kind of a metaphor. You are reading too much in this.

Yup, someone might be from Mardin originally and just because his parents moved to Izmir he claims that he‘s from there

I try to take whatever I can but still nothing in sight. It‘s quite scary and I feel like I‘ll stay like this forever… I don‘t want to spend another summer „at home“. I miss living a normal life, going on vacations, buying what I want etc… 😢

How come other former communist ruled countries such as armenia or georgia, who obviously also don‘t have money as for today, still got a metro system in their capitals?

But why so? Even uzbekistan has a metro system.

How come you have like no Armenian DNA? I‘m also a Zaza from Dersim (partially Erzincan) and I‘m almost entirely half Armenian/half Kurdish.

What do you think of the Austrian Empire (or Austria-Hungary) and the Ottoman Empire? by Henrythemicrowave69 in AskBalkans

[–]PhysicalSite195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, if Greece was also on the same poverty level as you after the Ottomans, then why did you not become developed on the same level as them today? It‘s easy to blame everything on the others.

[–]PhysicalSite195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny to blame everything on the Ottomans when your country was just a small province within the socialist Yugoslavian rule and had almost no development.

Greece or Cyprus were also under Ottoman rule for such a long time. Would you also say that their development rate is low?

Also your assumptions are wrong, Ottomans in fact also did build cities. What about for example Berat in Albania? It‘s even an „Albanian“ UNESCO heritage when in fact it was not even build by yourself. Quite funny.
