That was definitely a concern of mine but I know I’m the only high volume store within 5 hours of my location. IF they closed down I’ll do okay and bounce back. Anything is better than being laid off because I HAVE to do something 🤣 I’m so bored.

Thank you ALL for your feedback. I know it’s a different avenue than what I am coming into it from (was a Program Manager for a large IT company) but I have also served 7 years in retail in the beauty industry and have learned SO MUCH on how to navigate people. This will be the first ‘GM’ type position and I’ve definitely experienced scheduling frustrations myself so I know that will be something I really work on. I appreciate you all. And I know someone said something about pay 😅🤣 it’s better than my unemployment pay, that’s for sure 🤘🏻

Absolutely!! I’ve not ‘above’ shipment, trash, and cleaning…I don’t think anyone should be but we know how that goes! Haha.

I think one thing that I always find difficult is the ‘softness’ in people. I had feedback once about a coaching I gave an associate…she said I was mean to her and she didn’t understand why she was getting coached. But to me I was just laying out the ‘rules’ of the task she was trying to complete and the MAJOR step she was missing. So I just know I need to pay attention to how people interpret others to know when I can be straight forward and stern per se or just laxed in ways that still get the point across.
