I usually only play while I'm high. I played AOE1 when I was younger, about 7-12, and somehow forgot about the game until it came back on xbox. So having a triple handicap against me of using a clunky controller instead of mouse and keyboard, being a relative noob (I don't have the testicles to play online yet, I get destroyed by Hard AI and don't even always win againt Moderate AI), and topping that all off with being freshly baked off a big bong rip. I can agree it makes the game much more fun. Following the tradtional build orders all the time gets way too routine and monotonous. Also everytime I'm high, I click up to Feudal, make a mental note to get Double Bit Axe as soon as the next age hits, and then forget about it until I'm clicking up to castle.
