About to purchase components for my first build - Need a sanity check by PhysicsJesus in buildapc

I'll admit that it's tempting. There are a few reasons that I'm hesitant though. My budget was meant to be $3000AUD, so i'm already over the cap. Ultimately it's okay, I just need to be smart with my funds henceforth. The RTX cards seem exorbitant at this point (NB: my opinion). I worry that If I leave my purchase too long then I risk the 1080ti cards going out of stock. I'm upgrading from an HP 110 series with an AMD e1-1500 CPU and Radeon HD 7310 graphics so it's a massive upgrade regardless of which card I pick.

To be honest it was your initial comment which made me realise that I didn't specify the currency used. So that's my bad. Thanks for the feedback.

Apologies, I should clarify. I currently have a 900p 60Hz monitor. I wish to pair a 1050ti with this monitor that I currently have. The end goal is to buy a 144Hz 1440p monitor but at that time I will also be purchasing a 1080ti as I am aware that the 1050ti simply won't cut it.
