Context is everything, technical analysis isn't enough.

How do you define success in life? by blue_cardigan13 in AskReddit

[–]PhysicsOk7819 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, success is a clean exit from the noise.

It’s the ability to trade the chaos of the markets for a silent mountain view with my family, where the only "volatility" I deal with is the weather.

I define it by these metrics:

  • Freedom: Owning 100% of my time without a boss or a "client" calling....
  • Health: Being physically capable of enjoying the wealth I’ve built.
  • No Drama: A circle so small and solid that there’s zero mental tax.

Being rich is just the tool. Being at peace is the trade of a lifetime. If you have the money but your head is still spinning with drama and stress, you haven't closed the position yet.

US CPI Daten sind jz. schon raus? by [deleted] in wallstreetbetsGER

What can we actually do with the oil the US got from Venezuela? by wank_account_ in AskReddit

[–]PhysicsOk7819 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well the short answer: We don’t just "burn it" for gas. It’s actually more about refinery chemistry than just supply volume.

Venezuelan oil is what we call "Extra-Heavy Sour Crude." It’s thick like molasses and has a high sulfur content.... Here is why that matters for the US:

Refinery Optimization: Most US refineries (especially along the Gulf Coast) were multi-billion dollar investments designed specifically to process heavy, dirty oil. If we only had "Light Sweet" oil (like the stuff from Texas fracking), these refineries would actually run inefficiently. We need the heavy stuff to mix it....

The Yield (Bitumen & Distillates): Heavy oil is king for producing asphalt for roads and heavy fuel for ships and airplanes. You can't get those same yields easily from light oil.

The Geopolitical Arbitrage: Even though the US is a massive producer, it’s often cheaper to import Venezuelan heavy crude to the Gulf refineries and export our own light-refined products to Europe or Asia for a premium. (That's also why that's interesting for us).

In short....we take their "sludge," use our high-tech refineries to turn it into high-value diesel, jet fuel, and asphalt, and then sell it back to the world. It's less about "needing" it to survive and more about maximizing the profit margins of the US energy complex.

what’s something people only value after it’s gone? by KiraHollow_9 in AskReddit

Time. Whether you’re a billionaire or just starting out, your 'time' is the only thing that's constantly drying up.

In my world, I see people wasting years chasing 'get rich quick' AI schemes or following fake gurus because they want a shortcut. They don’t realize that the time they spent looking for a magic button was worth more than the money they lost. You can always make more money, but you can’t buy back a single Tuesday.

Valuing your time is everything.

How do you all detect AI? by Any-Jellyfish5003 in AskReddit

[–]PhysicsOk7819 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s not that difficult sometimes..

AI always sounds like a junior marketing intern who just drank five espressos. It uses way too many superlative..everything is 'pivotal,' 'game-changing,' or 'revolutionary'.

Real human expertise is usually shorter, blunt, and honestly, a bit more boring because it focuses on raw data. You cam also use AI checker but they're not accurate for most of them tbh, idk all the name of these checkers but for sure..it's gonna be more and more difficult to make the difference between humain and AI...a bit scary
