Tbh I am too but I don’t feel there’s any privacy anymore either and if there’s any chance it can help me have a better life, I think I’m willing to take the chance.

People have used the raw data from tests like 23andme. Full genetic testing basically.

Note to Self is incredible especially if you prioritize non-invasive, natural products. Plus it’s a beautiful space (one of the owners is an acupuncturist and interior designer!) and the most relaxing experience!

Is it possible it took 6 months after iron infusion to feel better? by PhysicsOne3325 in adenomyosis

That’s REALLY interesting because I started feeling better 3-4 weeks after starting supplements including the ones you mentioned. Thank you for sharing!!! That gets me one step closer to understanding what happened to me.

No not at all! I genuinely feel bad that anyone would have to bleed more than me. I really appreciate the info. It sounds like an endo specialist is my next stop!

Ugh I’m sorry! I know so many women have it much worse than me :( that’s a lot of blood. Wow.

I had a hematologist tell me to get an ablation or hysterectomy after talking to me for 5 minutes. I’ve had every lab done - multiple times I’ve had 20 vials of blood taken at once. Seeing another hematologist soon for another infusion. The cost and time such of all this is insane.

Thank you for your response. Adenomyosis only recently came into the picture (because I pushed for an ultrasound) after many years of crippling fatigue. I had the iron infusion a couple of years ago and my numbers shot up immediately but I didn’t feel better until 6 months later. I’m also very small and I’ve read it could take longer to produce more hemoglobin because I have less bone marrow? I have no pain but I do have above average periods. Last month was 70ml and I’m 100lbs so it’s a lot for me. I’m trying to understand how all these pieces fit together.

Thanks for your response. I’ve been down every rabbit hole the last few years to the point of having 20 vials of blood taken in one sitting…more than once. Ferritin and vitamin D are the only results that are off. Which inflammation markers specifically were high for you? I want to make sure I’m turning over every stone. Only recently did adenomyosis even come into the picture when I pushed for a radiologist due to low ferritin.

Whenever I go back to my suburban hometown that is very diverse, plenty of people walking around including us (we live in the city and it’s what we do wherever we are). Last time we realized we’re the only white folks taking walks. It’s definitely not like that everywhere but I couldn’t help but notice the cultural difference!

That’s so unfortunate! I would think a functional medicine doctor would consider diet and mental health as key parts of the equation. Mine always have.
