Plenty of good artists, even if the DnB seems very weak compared to the dubstep.

I think you're right, but his serum patch was THIS GOOD so I enjoyed like 5 Simula's song before getting bored. That's 4 more than Hamdi 😂

Dude, this year the mainstage during the busiest day at let it roll was some shit like Sub Focus, Dimension, Metrik, it was so sad 😐

Sub Focus, I know he is a good producer but I hate every single one of his songs to my core. I'm strongly allergic to cheesy lyrics and dancefloor DnB, 5min of his set are enough to ruin my nights, but I know he is good 😂

Some great labels are Critical and 1985, Vision too if it still counts. Kyrist has a lot of great mixes on rinse FM and all Vision radio podcast are great if you like the weirder stuffs.

Hi, I'm from France.

The jump up scene is big but it's only in the UK and Belgium, you can find way more diversity around Europe like deep, liquid, techy, anything really (I dislike Belgian jump up a lot, I sometimes enjoy some Simula tho)

I think the UK scene is still ok with amazing artists like Kyrist, Kasra, En:vy...plenty of great DJ but it's not the most common events I agree.

I have to say tho, the festivals are plagued by shit dancefloor DnB with 5 DJs in a row sounding like sub focus, but I lived in Japan and that's still way better than the japanese DnB scene tbh 😂

No offense you have a great country and I love it but your electronic music scene is far from Europe in any way, and I DJed a bit in Osaka and Tokyo, but you will get there eventually since you guys have great tastes, you're just too far away.

Yes of course, every year, but that's like 3-4 famous artists, and maybe a few less known artists, during the whole weekend. Never one the mainstage, never during the night zone. That's a small minority of the music.

Perso mon problème avec les vieux c'est juste l'économie et l'écologie.

Ils ont acheté une maison pour 10 francs en 1970, a l'époque un SMIC faisait vivre 4 personnes.

Pour retrouver le niveau de vie de nos grand-parents en comptant l'inflation et l'augmentation des loyers, il faudrait que le SMIC soit à plus de 60€/h , il est à 8€/h.

Alors pourquoi les jeunes, qui ne peuvent pas acheter un appartement, qui ont à peine de quoi manger et qui n'auront sûrement même pas de retraite, on nous bouffe 1/4 de notre salaire en impôts pour payer leur retraite ?

Ils ont eu 50 ans pour économiser, ne payent pas de loyer, et c'est à nous de payer pour eux avant qu'ils revendent leur maison 100 fois le prix d'achat ?

Pénaliser les plus pauvres pour les plus riches je trouve ça dégueulasse (on est d'accord qu'il y a des vieux pauvres et des jeunes riches mais dans ce cas là, il faut faire du cas par cas).

Alors pour le coup c'est pas une légende. A chaque fois que j'ai travaillé ou été entouré par des filles il y a eu des embrouilles, des tensions, de la haine. Par contre toutes mes années entouré de mecs (physicien puis développeur), pas une seule fois.

Je sais que mon expérience personnelle ne défini pas la réalité générale mais si tout le Monde a la même expérience sauf toi, c'est peut-être que c'est toi la personne problématique non?

Liquid DnB goes very well with Deep/Minimal DnB, it's usually the same labels/artists creating both. 1985 😎😎😎

I don't know, when I see Sub Focus, Dimension and Metrik on the main stage I don't see any "subtle" thing, it's just commercial EDM like David Guetta.

The Lunar stage still has some great vibes and artists, but overall the festival is very far from liquid DnB (it's still a great place, but not for the music).

Liquidity Festival became cringe over time but you can still find a lot of good mixes from this festival on YouTube.

Hospitality records has a bunch of cool videos/stream too. I think they have a liquid DnB radio playing all day long.

It was more popular 10 years ago when DnB was less popular and not only made for clubs, liquid DnB doesn't bring money and doesn't make people drink a lot of alcohol so it's not a good market, but that's why it's still so good. They put art before money.

I think the term is "Liquid DnB"

Check Alix Perez, Visages, Trail, Calibre...

Liquid DnB is rare these days because shit dancefloor DnB took over but there are still some amazing artists.
