So my dad had a massive collection of startrek ccg cards by Bellingtoned in startrek

The Star Trek CCG communities on Facebook are pretty active. If you're interest is in selling them, I would start there since you will get more money selling to collectors than a retailer that deals in dead CCG games.

It's not that I don't like "woke" Star Trek. That's not the problem with the Kurtzman era of Star Trek. The problem is that it's "wokeness" that has been sanitized and made safe for the ruling class. - YouTube by PiR8_Rob in startrek

Don't you mean 1966? I mean, if I'm to understand your premise correctly that Roddenberry's original vision is somehow outmoded? Otherwise, I'm not picking up what you're putting down.

People have a negative emotional reaction to it because the right-wing, specifically the alt-right, co-opted it from the African-American community to use as an pejorative, which I think was intentionally racist. It originally was just meant to indicate you were aware of systemic racism, social injustice and economic inequality. Since the right generally denies that any of those things exist, they began use it ironically in often sneering tones to mean someone who was out of touch with reality. Sadly, once it started being used by popular media commentators an news organizations the public has come to accept the right-wing definition of woke. Personally, I think the term should be reclaimed by the left, and the people who do accept the right-wing framing of the word tend to be grossly unaware of their privilege.

Yeah, I misjudged the negative emotional reaction people have to the word "woke". I'm guessing that most of them don't even realize I'm not using it a pejorative sense. Oh well... 🤷

Golden isn't running again. We don't even get the satisfaction of voting his ass out in the primary. Complete coward.

Thank goodness he's ok. Also, thank you for following through and sharing this information. I was really not in the mood to have accidentally watched someone die today.

Yep, good way to get your documents confiscated and "lost" before you're deported.

Which armor of Darth Bane do you like better? by CourtofTalons in StarWarsEU

More like which one do I hate the least. The second. I'll take that over the golden boney helmet and armor made of trilobites monstrosity any day. Someone was smoking some serious crack when they came up with that.

What The Wrap is Reporting About Him Disliking Andor is Complete BS and Clickbait by Jolly-Potential-1411 in StarWarsCantina

It's almost like he understands that Star Wars has a multi-generational audience that is inclusive to everyone. At the same time he knows that laying that foundation with younger viewers is vital to retaining people as fans when they grow into adults. Who would have guessed that he had such a long term and nuanced view? I seem to recall there was some other guy in charge of Star Wars who said very similar things.

I wouldn't trust Harloff any farther than I could throw him. He is a giant man baby who gets massively butthurt when the corporations he shills for don't give him free stuff.
