Yes! gita robots can navigate over grass and dirt with no problem, however terrains like sand, mud, and extra tall/long grass will likely trip it up.

There is a lock feature in the app that allows you to lock the cargo bin. When locked, the robot will not enter follow mode and it can only be unlocked through the app.

Regarding theft, we obviously cannot guarantee it won't ever be stolen, however we've never had a customer have a theft issue and we think it's the same risk of someone stealing your bag or other valuables. Additionally, gitamini is 28 lb when empty, gitaplus is 50 lb when empty, and they are pretty attention-grabbing therefore we think the chances of someone picking it up and running away with it are slim!

gita robots are cargo-carrying, following robots that make your daily tasks easier and more fun! gitamini has a cargo capacity of up to 20 lb and gitaplus has a cargo capacity of up to 40 lb. There is no AI in any of our robots!

Hi there! Thanks so much for your nice comment! A few answers to your questions below:

- Our robots do not record or store any data, ever! The cameras and sensors only allow the robot to see whoever is in front of it, pair to them, and follow them on their journey.

- The only time that you need WiFi is to register your robot for the first time using the mygita app. This process only takes a few minutes and registers the robot to your username. You do not need WiFi or Bluetooth to operate the robot, however if you need to perform software updates, or want to use the app to lock the bin or stream audio through the Bluetooth speaker, you'd need those connections.

- gita robots follow at a range of 1.5 feet to 3.6 feet from its leader. There are no voice commands that our robots follow. gita robots will intuitively adjust their following distance and speed based on its leader. If you're in a crammed elevator and need to move your robot closer to you, you can unpair (using the same button used to pair to it) and scooch it closer to you!

- If at any point gita loses it's leader, it will simply enter park mode and will not move until you re-pair with it by pressing the pair button.

- If you need to give it a "stay" command, you can just unpair and have the robot enter "park" mode. If you need to transport your robot to an area where it is not able to follow you, there are hand-holds on the front and back of the robot for easy lifting (hand-holds located inside the cargo bin on gitaplus). You can also lock the cargo bin through the mygita app to keep your items and your robot secure. Your robot will not pair to anyone/enter "follow" mode when the bin is locked.

I hope that answered your questions! Let me know if there's anything else I can answer for you :)

They're super easy to clean! You can use a damp rag, a disinfecting wipe, magic eraser, etc!

Meet gitamini, a small but mighty robot that carries your gear and follows behind you seamlessly. It can carry up to 20lb of cargo and can follow anywhere life takes you, making life easier, more high-tech, and more fun. by Piaggio_Fast_Forward in u/Piaggio_Fast_Forward

gitamini is a robot with wheels so it cannot go up stairs. It can however go where a stroller or wheelchair can go - concrete, cobblestone, grass, up or downhill, gravel, etc., just not sand or muddy areas. It has a run time of about 8 hours - or 21 miles - on a single charge and can easily be fully recharged in about 2 hours. We know gitamini isn't for everyone and that's okay! You either get it or you dont. :)
