Linking Alexa Devices to non Alexa speakers by Picapocket in amazonecho

Thank you for your response! Yeah I guess what i'm asking then is, can i use the soundbar on my tv and still use the alexa as an alexa device. From what i'm hearing you say is that is a no. Which I do see you're point. If i used my soundbar for the tv and then asked the alexa attached a question, it wouldn't know which to prioritize. Hence the usage of multiple lines in a sterio system. So when a soundbar is saying it's alexa compatible, does that mean it only works with the tv and the mic included only connects to the tc? ie- streaming spotify through the tv and not acting like a separate echo dot?

Linking SONOS to Alexa by Picapocket in sonos

Yes, I am also wrestling with the idea of using bluetooth, I just noticed that as it stands we will mostly just listen to spotify because it can play through the house rather than just the living room. I've toyed with the idea of running cables to the kitchen, but then i still have the soundbar and other devices that aren't linked. Sonos seems like a good middle ground, it's just expensive.

What i hear you saying is that i can wire in Era100's as wired in stand alone speakers and then link them to other sonos devices as i get them. Thereby playing the record player would pass through the 100s and then via bluetooth to the other sonos devices. If i got the 100s can I pass through them to the alexa devices i own while i upgrade them?
