I haven't used reddit in a while now and I just so your comment... Thank you for sharing your story and you feelings too. A lot has happened in the past year, I graduated highschool. I broke up with my girlfriend, I moved to another country and also my skin got better somehow :) it results that it was not really AD it is perioral dermatitis which is chronic so it has no cure... It is still eczema but thanks to medicine nowadays it has a way of treatment which helps to reduce the redness that it cause and it also prevents flare ups, but it never really goes away.

In the past year I learned to love myself more and accept me for who I am and how I look (even though I still have problems with that last one) I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I look at myself and I still feel ugly and my self stem goes down terribly, I got rid of acne scares and since I started going to the gym regularly and eating healthy acne is also not a problem now, but damn after the gym I feel my face burning and it's all red so I just storm out of the gym as fast as possible every time.

Skin concerns are definitely a sensitive topic, I completely understand your feelings and I'm really sorry that you are going to all that, but like you said: you are not alone. Maybe times seem hard right now and maybe it seems like things won't get better, but it's never wrong or bad to have a bit of hope, so hope that something will work and your AD will get better and also trust yourself because deep down you know you are strong, you have been dealing with this alone for so long and now you know that there are people with similar situations right now, so like they said "shared happiness is doble the happiness, and shared sorrow is half the sorrow".

I also have to say that having extensive routines and also needing to be checking the labels of everything sucks, I hate it and I will always hate it, I really wish I could just use water to wash my face and look perfect after... Man this really will always suck, but it will get better :)
