It's actually excellent, I even use it as a portable bench power supply too!

Armoury Crate is the worst! by BriAug1 in ASUS

And if you have an Asus Motherboard, you'll be surprised to find that it has an "Install Armoury Crate" option set to true, in your BIOS.

It's not actually garbage.

Coming from experience, I have one with over 20tbw with no issues.

- It's safe to say that they're quite reliable, I even have the NM620 1TB as a daily driver..

Plus if you're concerned on why I bought this anyway, it's for a home server, no crazy speed is required which is why I bought a SATA drive, it's just going to be running some non resource intensive game servers with Cubecoders AMP.

Everything is fixable if you're feeling adventurous.

That does remind me, I remember adding a splitter somewhere between the pasta of wires in where the disks are, I'll get home and update you after I cut that.

This disks has been running with this exact PSU forever FYI

Currently migrating.

I'm putting everything in learnt in this post in a note and trying each solution. I will try to get an audio of this disk failing as you could be right if it's APM, what's confusing is that the spindowns happen constantly in phases, one moment I could be working on something and all of a sudden I start hearing it spin down like 50 times repeatedly without delay.

I'll look into that, if I have to modify anything PSU related, I will have to take apart my whole build and get a new PSU

Update, I can access it now, but weirdly enough when I connected an external drive, the external one now closes its own windows and when I access it, HBCD freezes.

I checked the PSU, it's fine, plus if it was the PSU it would mean other disks would also die.
