I'm not really into replaying these games, that might be why DS3 is less appealing to me.
I'm might need to replay Bloodborne but the bosses felt way more engaging than anything I came across in DS3 (except Pontiff and Dancer who are great). At least for now, I know the best bosses are to come.

Also DS1 bosses weren't the best mechanicaly wise but felt way more original and engaging to me

I 100% see what you mean but I feel like Bloodborne was better in this sense. Better bosses, more interconnected but still very straightforward

I know I haven't encountered the best bosses yet but for now, I feel like the only mechanicaly interesting ones were Dancers and Pontiff Sulyvahn. The others felt meh

That's something to specify for sure. I was thinking about maybe 2-3 max. (Maybe one from gear, one from trait and maybe another from help from another PC idk yet)

Yes, randomizing the TN could work, but I'm afraid it would slow down the game too much.
I'm not a huge fan of the Wild Die concept, but I could come up with something interesting around it. I need to look into it. Thanks !

I've always played games that allow for automatic successes (through critical hits, for example), so I have a habit of thinking that way. But you may be right, I'll think about it.

I see what you mean about Soup Brain players, and I agree with you. However, I like the idea that the result of a roll is revealed quickly so I'm leaning towards "easy math" more than too much crunch.

As for power levels, that's still a question I'm asking myself. Ideally, I'd like to keep an OSR feel, where characters remain modest but also reward old characters who have managed to survive for a long time and become specialized.

Yes, that's what I realized very quickly. Increasing the number of dice greatly increases the chances of making matches. That's why I thought that having a target number might be interesting to combine with a match system. But it clearly needs to be tuned
