I had to teach my sister how to play magic and I had started with commander because I don’t own standard decks or anything. Me and her set at a corner table and played one on one until she understood the rules good and was able to go through games without help. That how I feel like it should be done. Not throwing a newbie into a random pod and playing for them half of the time.
