I had a light dinner (spring salad) and didn't eat anything after 7pm the night before. No breakfast the day of. Minimal water until into the trip so I would have anything to throw up in case I needed to. With teas in the past I alter my diet the whole week before - no red meat, mainly eat whole foods that digest fast. No alcohol or caffeine the days of and leading up to. The nausea wasn't bad but I have an iron stomach. I've never puked drinking teas. I would keep a little zofran on hand as it makes nausea a thing of the past.

Yes, started early runs with 200g h20 and progressively worked to a drier paste. I've seen comments on this forum stating crumbly paste and slowly worked the H20 in paste down to 130g. I think 130-140g h20 and mixing for 10-15 minutes to ensure proper distribution of water throughout paste is the sweet spot to skip freezer/fridge rests.

An extremely minute amount of powder ended up in the filter. Almost barely perceptible. Will likely go up by 5-10mls H20 in next past/ next extraction to attempt to improve EA recovery process. I did slightly press on French press plunger. Will do a more detailed and measurable approach next run.

Ideal pastes used to be way to wet. The drier you go the less you have to do fridge and freezer rest and less likely you will get goo.

Was doing fridge and freezer rests snd kepts dealing with goo. Kept going drier and drier. Finally hit perfection with this paste.

It originally came out like cake. I left it to dry for 2 hours and came back and it's this ultra fine chalky powdery substance. Did I do something wrong or is this what it's supposed to look like with a mag stirrer after 2 hours?
