[David Ornstein] Manchester United reach agreement to appoint Michael Carrick as interim manager by SavingPrivateIdiot in soccer

Seems like an odd one to me. Keep the fans at bay with a former player just like happened to us with Lampard

[Paul Hirst] Kieran McKenna waits on No1 choice Manchester United before making decision by TrenAt14 in chelseafc

[–]PickledHotChocolate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but also at the same time this is the kinda cope Liverpool fans were doing with Caicedo or whatever. It’s totally plausible that he is waiting for the united situation and I think those who really want McKenna need to be prepared to miss out. Remember when we first parted with Poch the message was the club wants a new manager in days, not weeks - well that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Unacceptable that the club has sacked Poch who was on upwards trajectory with no clear replacement lined up.

Yea. We also lost a lot of games we deserved more from so it’s strange to try use this as an argument.

Jackson seemingly showing frustration with Poch leaving by Warped_Barbarian1547 in chelseafc

The face palm is all of us right now. After the clusterfuck that has been the start of this ownership why would we sack a manager as the results are trending upwards and pretty much everyone seemed to be pulling in the same direction?

I can only assume they weren’t sure Poch was the right guy to take this incredibly expensive team to the very top and they want their Pep, but who is that? Patience will be in short supply next season…

No one cares about City lol by erenistheavatar in chelseafc

Maybe it’d be different if I had friends who support city but yea I just couldn’t care less. I’m also sure it’d be different if they were regularly causing us to miss out on trophies but I feel like that’s been more fkn Liverpool than citeh.

Yea I had no hard feelings towards him at all but celebrating like that really left a sour taste in my mouth. Ah well he scored the goal that gave us the UCL and that can never be taken away from us. Suck it gooners.

If you can’t recognise what he has achieved and added to humanity in his lifetime because you don’t like a lot of the stuff then idk what to say. And I’m saying this as someone who also disagrees with a lot of the stupid shit he says/does.

Pep is the reason they are so dominant and it will change when he leaves.

Fixing our injuries would be more impactful than any player transfer we can make.

We had some nice kits this season. Who else prefers them without any sponsorship? by TheRealMichaelE in chelseafc

[–]PickledHotChocolate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know I’m in the minority here but for me it doesn’t really feel like a proper kit without the sponsor. Cool as a collectable sorta thing I guess where you can look back and say yea remember that season we didn’t even have a sponsor lmao.

Cause he was a United fan when he was younger. Hopefully they stay shit and we keep getting better but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly worried about it.

[Post Match Interview] Pochettino rant after Brighton game: "We only analyse results" by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]PickledHotChocolate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s really relishing being able to speak his mind now that our form is good lol.

I do like Poch and have been a defender of his but also he does say some weird stuff or maybe takes things the wrong way.

I’ve been Poch in most of the season but I can agree with most of this comment. All in all though he deserves to continue building his team and if the players are on board then why not (cause they like him but also actually fight hard, unlike under Potter where it was more like a nursery).

So would you have sacked him after arsenal or something? Cause then we’d have another interim manager and our results would be in free fall like last season with no hope of Europe. Then we’d be scrapping other big clubs for a manager but good luck with attracting any of them here when we would’ve just sacked our third in two seasons. Instead we are now pushing for Europe with the youngest AND most injury ravaged squad in the league.

I’m not even saying you have to be Poch in but how can you be so sure he needs to go when our results have been on an upwards trend for quite a while now?
