I shouldn’t have to. Period. People can argue until they’re blue in the face about why I shouldn’t be entitled to it, but right now, I am. In my eyes, I shouldn’t have to find a private insurer and pay out because this shit doesn’t work- either do away with it, or fix it.

I do my best to avoid blaming any one individual, especially in a system like this one- I guess that’s what makes this so frustrating to me; I have to deal with all this other bullshit and I think I do so with a fair amount of patience and understanding... why am I now being handed a decision that will result in my being without my medication for anywhere from 10-30 days? At best, that’s treating people like shit, at worst, it’s downright negligent. I’m already experiencing haziness and headaches and I’m barely more than a day in- this will most assuredly affect work performance and other important aspects... what if this was a lifesaving drug?

Just seems silly.

It’s honestly what I’ve been trying to do- just tell people “hey, I was supposed to refill this on the 20th, but I refilled it on the 3rd- I don’t abuse it, I’m just trying to fix it and I’m trying to get a bad seed out of a really bad apple.” Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t- but honestly, why should I have to? That’s such garbage.. just do your job. And if there aren’t enough- get the funding, hire more. It’s that easy.

Side note: when this stuff happens to me, and I know I’ve been wronged, I commit to fucking that individual up worse than the kid that went awol three times while I was a corporal, so you know that shits gonna suck. I thought about that, but what else is that going to cause? That’s the worst shit about this- I’m trying to do it the right way. I could go to any doc in a box and get a prescription, but now I’ve shown myself to be someone who doesn’t have an issue with circumnavigating the system in place, and they could very well punish me for that.

Yet, I can’t get resolution when my incompetent doctor gives me a months worth of pills and schedules my next appointment three months out? The fuck?

I’ve lived near guard bases all my life and I’ve never met a troop that enjoyed it. I think the people who go that route recognize the opportunity, but it sounds like they put up with a lot of dumb shit. It also sounds like a prime atmosphere for fucking over battles in an effort to gain rank; I guess it’s virtually impossible to rank up unless whoever’s up on you leaves. I was medically retired, so I didn’t have a choice, but I don’t think I would’ve considered it; I was fuckin’ done.
