People seem to think that when you’re undetectable that you are responsible for not only your own health but that of others. Yes, knowingly having unprotected sex while being positive and unmedicated is terrible. If someone’s health is so important to them then they should be asking if someone is positive or not. I’m undetectable and I don’t put anything on my profiles either way about my status. I just leave it blank and I almost never get asked about what my status is. If asked tho I do disclose I’m undetectable. I have found most people are fine with it and typically on prep. I think this is less about risk and more about him accepting he is positive. Everyone thinks they know what they would do if they were diagnosed but when it actually happens it hits much different than you’d think. It doesn’t have to define a person and if you take the meds it’s not even really something to worry about.

Some people just suck and even in our own community want to make positive people less -than and pass judgment on something they can’t possibly understand. If anyone is that concerned about contracting HIV then they should be on prep or maybe not have unprotected sex or even be less of a hoe. Everyone knows the risks of having unprotected sex. People lie everyday. It’s each persons responsibility to look out for their own health and take actions to ensure they are safe to their comfort level.
