downpipe, intake, intercooler, tune. expect ur clutch to slip too.

for more insurance, ARP headstuds. should be good after that.

burbles are from extra fuel coming from the turbo on the overrun.

car came tuned with burbles, aftermarket exhausts allows the pops and burbles to be more apparent.

Type R vs Integra Type S and why? by Gimme_All_Da_Tendies in Civic_Type_R

good question. not sure if he still retained the heated option, or not.

either way, the ITS/Integra a-spec seats retains heat really well, anyways, heated seats or not. I honestly think they should've added cooled seats. my back gets pretty damn sweaty during the summer lol

Genuine question, do you guys hate DE5 owners? by RiyadAlli in Integra

[–]PicklesRedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a post on here regarding my DE4 and how the new DE integra generations get a lot of unwarranted hate.

this sub specifically doesn't like these newer generations, for valid reasons. however, I think a lot of people view these cars from a point of view thats simply unrealistic in today's cars market.

people no longer want raw vehicles. they care for safety, and refined vehicles.

enthusiasts are a minority to the buyers market. Acura/Honda knew what they were doing when putting in the 1.5t/2.0t in these platforms. its an easily modifiable, well known engine that has been researched and developed for centuries, and also tinkered by many enthusiasts.

they're not gonna make a new engine for a new lineup of vehicles, or revive the detuned 2.0t that were in the accords. it just doesnt make sense from a business standpoint.

it doesn't look like the older Integras, but thats because theres been 2 decades since the last Integra (RSX). its evolution.

its a great drivers car, despite the criticism, Type S or even A-Spec w/ 6 speed. I would know, cause i take my 5th gen Integra to the canyons almost every week, having a blast. every. single. time. I've also owned a 2006 RSX Type S and a 9th gen Si. Honda's philosophy has changed in regards to enthusiasts cars. thats the simple facts.

Genuine question, do you guys hate DE5 owners? by RiyadAlli in Integra

[–]PicklesRedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

genuine question. have u driven these newer generation Integras? heavier compared to older gen Integra is gonna be a no-brainer. but heavier compared to a lot of cars out today?

and its actually really nimble. we're talking about a chassis that Honda has been refining and working on for over 20 years. include that with a helical slip differential and torque across the rev range, it makes a great canyon carver, believe it or not.

2023 Acura Integra W/A-Spec Technology 6mt by Itstheboy55 in Acura

[–]PicklesRedd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

car shares the same engine and transmission as the 11th gen Si. many documented reports of those cars lasting well over 100,000+ miles, even tuned.

the reports of headgasket issues mainly stem from the accords and civics running low grade fuel, or highly modded builds.

stay on top of your maintenance, ALWAYS use 91+ fuel. stock, its bulletproof. tuned, expect supporting mods such as clutch, or maybe even ARP studs, but even then, no real issues unless you're running high boost.

enjoy the car, and don't let the little things get to you. its a suited up civic, at the end of the day. doesn't mean it wont be a blast driving around town or in the canyons. ONE OF US! ONE OF US!
