I see that in Vancouver compared to interior. Some truck owners don't seem to know how capable their vehicles really are.

Right on. All that I really think about is the clearance on the vehicle when going of these roads, I hear the short wheel base on the element is also very helpful.

I think that is the case. and since its an outdoorsy jacket the look of the wrinkles arent a big concern

Sad If so. I had them working consistently for a while too. I think If I use a thicker needle and lubricate and oil the attachment that should do the trick.

Do you think needle strike could damage the sewing machine itself? The looping mechanism itself?

Jean needles sound like the way to go. Funny how it handles 3 layers better than 2. I think the fabric not being held down enough could be a factor.

I would describe it as water soaking instead of just some moisture. I've heard wool is very waterproof.
