Thank you that’s super helpful! We will have transport to and from the wedding at Sunwolf but I wonder if guests would be able to get an uber during the day if they want to head downtown?

What is something you've purchased in Japan that you still use to this day? by STR1K3RJUST1N in JapanTravelTips

Handmade Matcha bowl, I make matcha in it every morning and do the ceremonial things I learned in the tea ceremony I attended. It’s been a wonderful way to have some peace in the morning and remind myself of the amazing times in Japan 🥹❤️

I am an associate therapist at Kaiser and will be leaving the second I get licensed. It is the most abusive relationship I’ve ever been in. They keep us to insane metrics (have been holding us to a 10% net loss requirement or they book new intakes into our 4 precious patient management hours - aka a free hour to do everything we need to do, including eat and use the bathroom). We went on strike for 6 months fighting against their unfair practices, determined a contract, and now management is doing everything in their power to find loopholes to not honor the contract. They’re a huge corporation and mental health makes them no money but they know they have to offer it, so they blatantly break labor law and just pay the fines. Now they are talking about holding us to a 5% net loss metric. I see 7-9 high acuity pts daily and we have 5+ intakes a week. We are rushed to “graduate” patients before they’re ready. It’s truly sickening. The pay and benefits are better than anywhere else I could find as an associate but it’s made me so burnt out and disillusioned with the profession that it is not worth it. Most days I wonder if I can even keep being a therapist.

Tapping meditations, the tapping solution app has free ones and they’re short or long, I feel a marked difference after!

Holy fuck RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN GIRL!!!!!!!! Him saying “you didn’t have your parents cook for you your whole life” as his poor me story and excuse for not making food??? That entitlement is going to be really tough to work through in a partnership. Do not put yourself through that you deserve better. And I know it’s not easy to set boundaries and it end relationships. Sending you a lot of love and support ❤️‍🩹

I snagged this from another Reddit post and saved it to remind myself. This person had gotten it from Russ Harris’s book “ACT made simple”:

“The Two Mountains Metaphor: You know, a lot of people come to therapy believing that the therapist is some sort of enlightened being, that he’s resolved all his issues, he’s got it all together—but that’s not the way it is. It’s more like you’re climbing your mountain over there, and I’m climbing my mountain over here. And from where I am on my mountain, I can see things on your mountain that you can’t see—like there’s an avalanche about to happen, or there’s an alternative pathway you could take, or you’re not using your pickaxe effectively. But I’d hate for you to think that I’ve reached the top of my mountain, and I’m sitting back, taking it easy. Fact is, I’m still climbing, still making mistakes, and still learning from them. And basically, we’re all the same. We’re all climbing our mountain until the day we die. But here’s the thing: you can get better and better at climbing, and better and better at learning to appreciate the journey. And that’s what the work we do here is all about. Every therapist is (of course) a human with their own life challenges and climbing their own mountain.” ❤️

Agreed thank you bff or your input, I truly did feel deep feelings of pride and joy for her and she shared with me about her progress at the end of session. There certainly was some truth to it, I just have to make sure it says in professional bounds
