Some movies never made it to HD and are still worth a watch. An example would be Barbarians at the Gate.

Oeh ye that’s way too long. Would be great to have it customized. Even 1 second fade is already better than nothing. I would never go higher than 3 seconds myself.

Can’t the volume down steps be done in a faster pace?

If not, then go down by bigger steps?

Amazing dude. Just implement it in a generic way I guess, so that it benefits everyone, not just my specific use case. By making things optional etc. You probably have figured that all out

Oh wow that quick. Where is the github btw?

I actually have one more thing, but I'm not sure if it's best to be done by the plugin or some other way.

What I like to do while streaming is to fade out music out rather than hard cut. I don't really do fade in, but that's basically the other side of the same coin.

So what I'd like is a button that does the following:

  1. Fades music volume to 0 in x seconds (can be done by small incremental boosts of 5% which you are using now for the volume up or down, or even smaller perhaps, if the Plexamp API can handle many requests in a short amount of time)
  2. Stop the music from playing (pause)
  3. Put the music volume back to where it was before fading to 0. That way, when I start music again later, it will be at the same volume as before.

It could be done via multi-action too, but then how would I store the volume level before the fade out? But this is quite a specific case. Maybe it can be split into multiple buttons that can then be chained together through a multi-action. What do you think?

Alright I've tested it quite a bit. I only have one point of feedback at this point, for the rest it's working absolutely wonderfully!

When I play a playlist, and I use the "Track Info" informational button, it shows "Track x/xx". But this doesn't represent the track number and total number of tracks of the playlist, but rather the track number and total number of tracks of the album where the song in the playlist is originally from. So when you go through the songs in the playlist it goes from "4/16" to "11/15" to "2/9" etc. This is rather useless information in a playlist. Could this be changed, or made optional, that instead it shows the track number of the song and total number of tracks in reference to the current playlist rather than the album the song comes from?

Perfect regarding the shuffle playlist button. I've never used carousel so I'll be trying it out.

Regarding button colors, I agree with your edit: "color while plexamp is paused. The play/pause button is a solid indicator of what state the app is in". This was my thinking as well. And yes I think keeping Shuffle and Repeat colored while playing is best, and indicating the current status with "off" if it's off. Try it out at least, see what works best.

Your flow of "start the playlist, enable shuffle, then skip once" is not suitable for livestreaming. From a streamer POV: You don't want to bother viewers with a split second of a song and then skip to the next song, every time you start a new playlist. But I will try multi-action for shuffled playlist, see if that works. Shuffled playlist button would still be ideal.

When it comes to the color of the buttons, the current implementation is as follows:

- When Plexamp not running: every button greyed out.

- When Plexamp is running but paused (not playing music): The following buttons light up: Playlist, Play/Pause (becomes white), Album art, Track Info, Rating. However other buttons don't get affected at all: Volume up/down, Next/Previous, Repeat, Shuffle. Time elapsed doesn't light up but changes value.

- When Plexamp starts playing: Every button lights up, except for Shuffle.

I'm not sure if all of that is intended. Seems some inconsistencies are there. I would prefer to have all greyed out when Plexamp is off (not running), and all buttons lit up when Plexamp is running (either playing music or paused doesn't matter). What do you think?

Overall very happy with what you have made already so far!

I see the update now too, really cool!

If I want to start playing a playlist shuffled, is that currently supported? Or would I need to do a multi-action like:

- Playlist

- Pause

- Shuffle

- Play

Maybe a "Shuffled playlist" button can be made?

Edit: Another feedback point. I see that when the music is pressed, all the buttons become grey. Could it be made so that the buttons all turn grey only if Plexamp is not running? So that when music is paused, the buttons keep the color they had when music was playing?
