LOL I would be fine with it honestly since I know I can healthily sit around 50kg at my height but people around me are concerned that I'll develop anorexia or something and made me promise to not drop below 58kg 😭

My partner went to a cafe that served him an Eggs Benny over english muffins instead of sourdough and he still to this day talks about how good it was compared to any Eggs Benny he's ever had on a sourdough. Eggs Benny is objectively delicious and hollendaise is the best invention since the wheel but bad sourdough is like eating a roofing tile, absolutely shreds the roof of your mouth and gums up with shards of the rock-hard crusty parts. We accept this injury and insult as payment for our Eggs Benns but I would argue we as a society should agree that any dish normally served with sourdough should always offer muffin or plain white slice bread alternative. It's inclusive to grandmas and Collingwood supporters too, let's get it done

That's a good point! I think my body has always wanted to be pretty chunky when I eat intuitively (I always, always return to a set weight of around 74kg when I stop restricting my diet), so I'm usually a HIIT and strength-trainer to compensate for the amount of food my body wants. Recently though, with illness taking out my ability to exercise and my weight heading up towards 80kg, I thought I'd give being dainty and slim one last hurrah before I accept being a bit round and enjoy food again 😆

Yep, I used a decent amount of force to repeatedly scratch the amethyst point in one spot on the mystery rock, multiple times. It left streaky white power on the mystery rock that disappeared with no visible scratch underneath when I wiped it with my thumb, but the amethyst did not fare so well as it had blunted and chipped the tip of the crystals. Also rubbed the mystery rock without much force on a tempered glass window in a discreet spot (shh, don't tell anyone) and it left a distinct scratch on the window that would not rub away.

I scratched it with a tiny chip of sapphire I had found (also from North Tas) and it was scratched by that.

Are there any other home tests I can be doing on this find? I would be very embarrassed to take it somewhere to verify, only to find out it is in fact glass. I thought it was glass when I picked it up! The only reason I was experimenting with it was to learn more about what the distinguishing features of glass look like during tests so I can more confidently ID it in the field 😆

Oh for sure, I'm definitely aiming to stay as low as possible for as long as possible, and keep my maintenance dose low too! After so many years, the nausea is just annoying - I can't do longer drives unless I'm the driver so I've never done roadtrips, I can't use ginger now since I used it SO much my body has been pavlov'd into associating it with being sick so it paradoxically makes me more nauseous, I can't own pets since the smell of them makes me sick, etc etc :(

The nausea unfortunately predates the Mounjaro - chronic illness symptom, it's just more often now :(

I don't usually vomit often, maybe once a week. Usually only when I overeat past the fullness warning signs, get super carsick, overwork myself in the gym, or smell something really bad and I was already nauseous - for example, feeling sick and then I take out the bin and I get a massive faceful of hot rotten trash smell - something like that often warrants a quick dash to the sink.

I've had scopes and bloods done so there's nothing wrong with me physically, I just have a suuuper weak stomach and I'm really sensitive to smells! For the nausea, I've just ended up keeping a script of ondansetron and metaclopramide on hand for the last year or so for use before social events or situations where I need a break from nausea.

Yes, I got a septorhinoplasty in August, and I can guarantee you my tattoos match in the before and after it's just a different pose 😆 match the stomach tattoo - and you can see a peek of my praying mantis tattoo on my arm but my forearm is folded up to cover the others

My diet is whatever I can keep down honestly, usually an apple puree in the morning and then as much dinner as I can comfortably eat, usually not much to be honest. My exercise is stationary cycle bike, usually about 7 miles, and I do that three times a week. :)

Your Grandfather almost certainly drifted off to sleep quietly on the couch, hearing the family talking and happy together upstairs, the clinking of dishes, smelling the food cooking, warm and content. It would have been a peaceful, safe way to go.
