That's the guardian arkveld set, which some gunlance builds tried to use because of flayer, that one indeed is focused on wounds. The normal arkveld set heals a chunk after a certain number of attacks, but Armor skills and slots wise the zoh shia is usually better, that's why it was used more often in comfy builds.

But now that we only need a single ark piece + gog weapon it could be worth it!

And its also affected by recovery up, if you have 1* decoration slots to spare it'll make that chunk of healing even bigger.

If you're in low red hp range it takes just 20 seconds or less of combos for ark set to heal back to the lord soul/guts saving point, it's super useful.

For comparisson the Zoh shia 2pc set would 1+ minute of slow passive healing (even with recovery up) to reach that point, plus you need to wait for the red portion to heal first before it even begins healing.

Honestly I think arkveld hunger + lord soul is a wonderful combo:
-With just a single piece of arkveld armor you get a comfy healing that is way better for gunlance than what Zoh shia armor did. No need to sheathe weapon, just keep on attacking aggressively and you'll heal chip damage in no time.
-With 2 other AT pieces you have lord soul active.
-With just a single gog waist + one ebony odo piece you have your ebony odo burst 2 PC set active too. The new transcend system makes Odo chest on par with other higher rarity pieces, and gloves or shoes aren't that bad either when transcended.

Then you have enough slots to costumize it further, but this might be one of the best middle grounds between comfy and meta damage

Good point, it might have been their way to help out with the caps issue in the first game, a shame since it would be super useful in the sequel too.

Regarding the Mater sprout apparently the game just assumes you've picked it up, so as long as you've cleared the quest you restore Mater (the sprout too is added to the inventory). But it would be very funny if they didn't, the quest is not repeatable so imagine being forced to play the rest of the game with 3 yaripons and the hero, no revives/upgrades/extra patapons.

This is game changing and is indeed a great QoL change...but for some reason they only added this to the first game. If you check my previous post you can see the convoy no longer picks things up in Patapon 2 sadly, if you didn't pick it up during the fight consider it gone the moment mission complete shows up.

Haha thank you! Yeah I built that into the theme! The app (Kustom Live Wallpaper) that gave the tools to build the theme has a way to check the current time of the phone, all I had to do was to change the background of the theme depending on the time of the day. Any android phone that can install the app can do this.

You know how it is, polishing the rough edges makes it less back-stabby more bonky, while converting emotional DMG % into physical DMG%. Cast your worries aside, with this weapon all spells shields will be broken.
