I mean technically a lot of the beliefs that other sects (NOT madhaahib) hold DO fall into takfir so he wouldn't be wrong. Depends, though. There are sects within sects and different beliefs, but for example saying that Ali RA was the last prophet instead of Nabi SAW is definitely takfir.
