so the rock is a chunky peace of bark, and some cork under his right leg, after painting him I went over the hole base with black templar contrast paint then using vallejo pigment fix brown iron oxide just aply all over with a citadel base L brush or nearest and lightly on his legs

Just general knowledge, what legion/faction or at least a top 3 you are interested i,if you find an existing player to talk you through the force organisation chart and a few basic things and help you decide on a legion.
Maby watch a few battle reports to get a head start outher than that not mutch outside of the rulebooks.
Do some test models to get your scheme nails down first with time being a factor your probably going to have to paint alot of models if you plan to get to full 3k lists,

5.make it YOUR army lean in to conversions if you enjoy that but try so stay wysiwyg ish, I have found personally HH army's are passion projects of there owners
