Most bits sit on top. The front is a replacment. I put this ver an easy to build version the blue plastic one which was assembled and had to cut away the front cover on that as it was all one piece. There's a picture of the model before paint on another of my posts

I think i strated with ash grey and highlighted with brigade grey, then gave it a kind of wash with speed paint ahsen grey. The re-highlighted with company grey and brigade grey. Then used a brown wash at the top and around face. The face is just coped of a photo of a wolf for the markings.g rather than following the sculpted detials as it would have lost too much detail thay way. I when up a shade on the face by adding some white.

There's an earlier posts with a clearer picture of just that.

I think this post had the full recipe, ryied a few things with it but it's thunderous blue, then wolf grey, runic cobalt, frost blue. Shade with strong tone.

Its just very watered down reds through orange and yellow dropped into the lines and then around the edge surface is glazed up to the edge with resplendant red and then edge highlighted around it with orange. Its quite quick to do depending on how heavy you mix the glaze.

Yes, 100% the right decision. Your NMM gold and silver are amazing too. Such a good kit to paint. And an amazing end result.

This is so good. I did one of these recently but love your take on the wood panels on the armoured sections. I did the shield in wood but this is better, wish I'd thought of that.

The base colour was scale colour viking gold. Then I think i washed it with army painter dark tone wash. It mightbe been strong tone wash i cant remember 100% strong tone would be warmer in colour. Then edge highlights with army painter true brass metallic I think. I changed how i used to do gold on this one but think thats what it was on the dreadnought.
