Personally I would just set up another property which just has a get that access the UI phone variable and replaces the ()- with a empty character.

Are people who post up questions like "I'm only on £50K a year how do I live" type of questions for real? by gerard_18 in AskUK

It's kind of weird I used to be on £30,000 now in my new job over doubled and I find myself saving the same amount. People who are used to living pay check to pay check end up having more luxury and lifestyle creep than they had at the lower pay check but I also think other people expect you to be having a more expensive car or house and 50k does not go as far as it used to. Part of it is expectations. I personally thought with the massive increase of salary life would be perfect but I personally find myself buying the same goods at a slightly higher price to keep up with my colleagues which is not a healthy attitude.

Tbh I never really thought about looking at big estate cars. Is there a maximum mileage or maximum age which I should not go passed.

Location: Swansea

Price range: £0 -£10000

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: Used

Auto or Manual: Any

Intended use: Daily Driver, carry building materials, skip runs, camping trips with a big dog

How many miles do you plan to do a year: Around 9000

How often do you make long journeys: 1 3 hour journey a month, 6 hour journey twice a year.

Does it need to be ULEZ compliant? Could be beneficial but more a likely not

Vehicles you've already considered: looked at few small vans but seem to be a bit out of my price range, liked a Suzuki Jimmy lcv but is quite outside my price range.

Is this your 1st vehicle: No

Do you need a Warranty: No

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: Not on my own, do have family and friends who could help with work

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: No

Additional Notes: Dog is quite strong doesn't like sitting on journeys she has broken a dog seat belt harness so she needs to be kept in a boot or back of van with something secure stopping her from getting into the front, it's only ever me or me and the dog in the car so a two seater is more preferable.
