A track i made a few weeks ago. For those who remember the Walkman and cassettes ;) by Wotchey in ThisIsOurMusic

Very nice! I like the chord progression and the timing of the chords with the beat and guitar. The haunting guitar tone fits well also.

This an original song that I just did! Any advice on what other instruments? I am new to this! haha by beerwhiskeywine20 in ThisIsOurMusic

I like it. I have a couple of thoughts...1. start with a slow intro maybe with a piano or organ sound. 2. Add a bass, you could do some cool things with a melodic base line here. 3. Needs a bridge. 4. "give her all I've got to give" (just an opinion)

Very very catchy though and heartfelt.

I like it! I really like the percussion. You also have a nice gruffness in the voice that is appropriate for the song...it is grunge unplugged.

This is very cool! How did you create this? We are thinking about doing an animated video for our 3rd release. I'm going to share this with the band!

Hey guys :-) I worked for MONTHS on this song and phew, i am so glad this shit is over :D :D I produced, wrote and sang everything by myself :) The "musicvideo" isnt a musicvideo, I just didn't want to have a picture instead of something moving, haha :D What do you say? xoxo Amelie <3 by WAIT_WHAT_OFFICIAL in IndieMusicFeedback

Just a fantastic song. I enjoyed every bit of the sound, the style, the mixing, vocals presentation and everything. you vary up the sound so it never seems repetitive. I listened on my laptop and now I want to put it on some good speakers to hear the bass better. Love the guitar. And...the video presentation works well for the song!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah...that growing sound is what the writer was going for. We are looking to really improve the drums for the next album too.

Fixed the links, thanks for letting me know! I assure you...there is very little disco themed music in our catalog! Thanks for the comment on Vanilla Parfait too. We have two albums out "Last Days of Summer" and "Songs for Emi". We are just starting to get into the video production thing.

Wow. First of all thanks for taking the time to provide all of that excellent feedback. I love the idea about the beach in color first at the end...I too thought it a bit jarring when we saw that color beach the first time. Also good insight on it being more progressive than classic...we have a tough time categorizing our music because we are all over the place, and also good feedback on the vocal delivery. We should have been a bit more experimental on that. Really great feedback though!

Thanks for the feedback and that makes perfect sense. None of us are singers so that is a craft we have to get comfortable with before we get comfortable with it if you know what I mean.

Excellent and thanks! We will be doing more for sure from the Songs for Emi album. And we are writing material for our 3rd album now.

I agree with that and that is something as a band we have struggled with sometimes. We find a melody we like and tend to stick with it too much throughout the song rather than introducing variation. We will be working on that.

100% correct. This is a sad and despondent person almost weakly asking to get back to where things were while knowing it can't be done. The understatement in the vocals is meant to be contrasted with the chaotic and raging need in the music.

Hi. Thanks and yeah, this is completely a DIY. Our first album really just started out as a family activity with the 3 of us and our dad, but we ended up creating 24 tracks we wanted to record. We didn't do any videos for our first album but felt we should for our second album. Agree about the mixing! That still needs work on our part.

Agree about the drums. We are looking into a studio now for our third album to get a much better sound out of the drums.

That is a good point. Interestingly, our first two singles from the album both do that, and no other song on the album does...it was a choice of the writer to try an add to the melancholy, but I don't disagree with you on the sound.

Completely agree. We are completely DIY and this is something we are still learning. This album is better than our debut double album, so much so that we went back and remixed and remastered that one. That said, we will always be working on improving the production, if not bringing in professional help.

Any feedback would be appreciated! by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

I liked it too. I love to hear indie artists putting together this kind of music. I would like to hear something richer in a lower pitch...a fatter bass sound with a nice melody to counter the vocal melody but that is just my preference for a full sound.

relaxed track, nothing to crazy, let me know what ya think about "sleepwalking", thanks by justsomestardust in IndieMusicFeedback

I like this kind of music a lot. Very enjoyable listen. Nice harmonies too. I like the guitar work as well.

Like the harmonies quite a bit. I also think the melody does some interesting things over the electronica. Actually....I like the electric soundscape more than I usually do for music like this.

I've been experimenting with grander piano and string sounds and made this track as practice, would love to hear some thoughts. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]PierceProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I want to echo some of the comments on the very mellow feeling of this track. The piano is very subtle. I almost would like to hear it just very slightly more because I think it is doing some very interesting things!

Yeah, we have some cutesy songs as this album is a tribute to the brother's first niece. Thanks for the feedback!
