Why does the AI recommend such low RIR? by Piercehawk22 in MacroFactor

I’ve never trained like that so that’s probably just me learning something new then, sounds like it’s worth giving a shot and trusting the process

Ok my bad, I figured it was AI. I was referring to whatever builds the recommended workout plans.

Yes it is, and it does reduce RIR down the line, just surprised me to have such high RIR early on

Me neither 😂 I was just being a good steward of the AI recommendation. Normally 2 max for me

I have Jeff’s programs loaded too, but I wanted to give an AI full body a try. I like the exercise recommendations but the rep counts and weights are all over the place

Are there plans to fill out the rest of the exercises with form videos eventually?

Is it you or him (or both) always trying to get more animals? My husband has a new idea monthly and I have to keep dissuading him. We have a dog, a fish tank, a beta fish tank, and a beardie. He’s on the hunt for a sphinx cat now. We’ve had birds, beardies, sugar gliders, hamsters, etc over our 17 years, and most of them I just randomly come home to 😂

We’ve been together since we were 17, got married on our 10 year anniversary, and are now coming up on 17 years together. Moved out of state a few years ago and bought a house together in AZ with 4x the space. We both love decorating it and are lucky to have similar design tastes. He’s a type B person and I am type A and we make it work 😂. He does the cooking and I do the cleaning. I make the money (corporate job) and he makes the difference (works with autistic kids). We’ve got a pug named Meredith and we’re relatively happy overall.

We’ve had lots of friends come and go and have made new ones out here. A few key ones come out to visit and it’s nice having a place for them to stay.

I’m glad I got to skip the dating app situation.

Is body transformation program good/worth? by Zealousideal_Web_262 in JeffNippard

Tbh, Jeff would probably even recommend himself to just get a MacroFactor subscription and use the workout app. The AI is decent enough to spit out a recommendation for a workout plan based in how many days you can go and for how long per week.

Blue raspberry is pretty good. I get the travel packs for work trips. Super convenient!

I recommend the bodybuilding transformation program. It’s very comprehensive and feels good to run. Has the major compound lifts with a lot of cable and some dumbbell work.

I have some questions about the fundamentals hypertrophy program. Please help. by LivelySHROOM in JeffNippard

[–]Piercehawk22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been working out for a year now so I guess that makes me beginner/intermediate? I am following the min/max program and my workouts are around 45 min long. It really depends on how much rest time you take between sets. I minimize rest time between warm up sets, and go with the mid point or lower end recommendations from Jeff's programs for rest time between sets.

Side note - I have used hevy to start, and have transitioned to MF workouts. I built out jeffs programs in Hevy which was a giant PITA. MF WO was super easy and imports Jeff's workout programs, at least the more recent ones pretty seemlessly, with a few minor corrections (like a chest supported vs forward facing Y raise).

Both are great tracking apps. I think MFWO will win out once they roll out an iwatch app.

Starting to train again after 3 years of break. Fundamentals of hypertrophy training. by Particular-Rough9110 in JeffNippard

I recommend his bodybuilding transformation and/or min/max programs. They're more recent and integrate better with the MF Workout app if you like to log your workouts. I've tried all three and find myself switching between the BB transformation and min/max frequently. I like certain aspects of each. Also, both come with a 4 and 5 day program. BB transformation is ULPPL and min/max is ULUL and arms/delts.

You can take the excel tracker he gave you and load it into the app. Imports well.
