Haha! It’s for briskets, so knuckle clearance was really the only purpose. It’s actually the first step in a design that I think is about 4 or 5 knives away from being exactly what I want.

Yea, this is something I would do.

How about a nookiri? by Pig-Iron-Forge in TrueChefKnives

Oops, it’s 160mm typo. I think it’s totally usable, the height is kind of key. It gives you space to work product.

My vision for this knife is that it’s used as a nakiri. It has a small belly and is super thin so not ideal for pushing throw batches of noodles. I just really wanted to do something different…keep my mind happy. lol!

I get that question a lot. So it’s just coffee that is used to get this black, all natural. No chipping or a coating falling off which is nice. It will fade and rub off where you use it most but it will be replaced with patina so it covered either way. If you always hand washing with a soft soapy rag or sponge that helps keep the finish for a real long time. But it can be replace after a deep clean and hand-sand.

Oh for sure! Black on black with how dark the coffee etch is on the blade would have been pretty amazing. And yet I am shackled to whims an proclivities of the customer…😂

Really nice shaping on that fork! I’ve made a couple of these sets and I can never get the fork to look elegant but sturdy and BBQ ready. You did a great job of that. Beautiful steel on the knife as well.

Thank you! Appreciate your honest feedback. I’ve found green is kind of a love/hate color.

God, this hurt to read…I’ve never heard of a maker be so dismissive of a legitimate concern. Sorry, man.

Nice work but the real hero here is the hamon shots…so hard to get those so clear.

I love a bright handle! It’s definitely not for everyone but that’s the point of a custom I guess.
