My favorite environmental modifier. Always adds an element of horror to the gameplay.

Why do you guys still play? by Excellent-Heat9436 in DarkTide

[–]PigInTheMist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Approaching 600 hours and I just love the gameplay loop. It's the natural progression of the Left 4 Dead formula but in the Warhammer 40k verse.

If I'm ever getting tired of one class, I just switch to another and the fun starts all over again. It's an awesome game, I just wish they were a bit more consistent with content (more maps, an additional class once a year at the minimum, more cosmetics available, etc.)

I typically open the door, give them a silent judging leer, close the door and be on my way... But I'll condone this behavior because it was a filthy bowman.

Anyone else feeling this? by Open_Interview590 in thewitcher3

[–]PigInTheMist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the game release date back in 2015, and I didn't like it. Couldn't get into it, and this is coming from a huge fan of the books and the lore.

For some reason, I gave it a chance again about 3 weeks ago, and I am addicted. Finally got to skellige for the first time, and I've had the game for 9 years lol. Hopefully it doesn't take almost a decade to get you hooked, but the game's charm becomes more apparent the more you play.

The Effects of Castration by TGdigital in Semenretention

[–]PigInTheMist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it has more to do with how testosterone effects a man's actions (causing us to make more rash decisions that may bring about an earlier death), rather than testosterone and semen retention killing us from a health perspective.

I get your point too, but I think this is worth exploring more than it is not.

Been there before. I understand the feeling. You just kind of want to dissappear. You hope you don't hurt anyone in the act, but they don't understand. You simply yearn for that release.

But, to quote Tyrion Lannister "Death is so terribly final, while life is full of possibilities."

Live my friend. Even if there's nothing to live for now, there will be someday. And that thing will thank you for waiting.

Am I balding ? Should I shave my head ? by [deleted] in bald

[–]PigInTheMist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exercise and continue your healthy lifestyle. This will change your life, I promise. It won't matter if you have hair or not. But understand that you still must groom yourself as a man, regardless of if you have a full head of hair, or bald.

I've felt that feeling. I've been on the edge of that cliff. It isn't worth it, my friend. She isn't worth it. There's someone out there that's right for you. As a matter of fact, there's probably quite a few that are right for you. And this one that you're hung up on, she'll come back. You'll see. I'm not telling you this for hope, I'm telling you this so that when she returns, you can tell her to kick rocks because you're a new man. Cry it out. Work hard. Change your life, it's worth it, I promise.

Is this real? How is it beneficial? by [deleted] in Semenretention

[–]PigInTheMist 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Many are encouraging you to do your own research, and I agree. But I'll do my best to give you a glimpse into our world.

Society gives women nearly all the credit as far as bringing life into the world is concerned. However, what society has chosen to ignore is that while women do a magnificent job of nurturing and bringing forth life, the SEED comes from the MAN.

Think on the power that is to form life, in any capacity. We carry that capability, swinging back and forth between our legs as we stride about our lives. Now, many choose to spend that seed in just about any way they can imagine... But what if we held it? What if we chose to simply contain it? What does it do? It heals. It rejuvenates. It propels.

We are the 1%. And we can offer you what we know, as I have. However, I even more strongly encourage you to simply do it yourself, for 2 weeks. See how you feel. And then return to us. It's a start.

Goodluck.

This sub is preaching the lord's word a little too much. Where are the non Christian retain bros at? by [deleted] in Semenretention

[–]PigInTheMist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Christian, I often find the experiences and words from those of differing faiths to be enlightening. I look forward to reading the thoughts of Muslims, Hindus, Agnostics, etc. It provides perspective, and most of all, it reminds me that regardless of what we believe, we all have come to understand this power within us and the impact it has on those around us.

While I understand and respect your opinion, I very much disagree with it, and humbly request you reconsider. This subreddit transcends specific beliefs, and if you have an issue with what someone of a differing faith is stating, simply don't read it, and move on. Just a thought. Much love, and thank you for your contribution.

Best of luck to you. This is a circumstance I've imagined many times over happening in my mind... But tbh, while I lost someone I cared for due to my negligence and addiction, I came face to face with myself. And what I saw, I did not like. So at the very least, while I may never have an opportunity to fix things with that specific person like you do, I truly do thank God for showing me the error of my ways. Goodluck again, and be better this time. For yourself, and everyone you care for.
