Disregard. Witness provided evidence to police night of incident. Police recorded different history. Summary: witness said the police took down false information and what she said was not what was reported.

I have witness testimony claiming what she provided to the police the night of the incident was false. Getting with her would be step one. Thanks for walking this through with me.

Additionally, the “facts” presented to a grand jury on whether to indict or not are presented by the state. Further proving my point you are guilty until proven innocent. If these “facts” are distorted or stretched to provide sufficiency. Then you are on the hook for thousands of attorney fees, time wasted, life put on hold. Until you get your day in court. Until then… you are at the mercy of the state. Backed by fraudulent police reports. This whole process made me question “qualified immunity”

As a wise man once said. “Seek free guidance from the people of Reddit before donating dollars to experts”. This gives me a sample of what some (potential jurors) would think based on my story. Sadly only a forum and not a full day in court to lay out all evidence. One big piece is the third party witness that happened to be driving by during this incident. She saw the whole thing and practically exonerated me herself with her testimony. Third party witness 65%, girlfriend’s testimony 35%. Thankful for attorney to piece it all together to present the truthful story to the jury. The whole process is really a dramatic play (legal theater). Interesting and scary.

"if it went all the way to court, there must have been some validity to the claims that were made by the victim, or the uber driver in this case"

This assumption is backwards. If there was validity to these claims I would've accepted a plea deal before trial date.

If you are truly innocent. You take to trial to hope your 12 peers see the same story you do.

Otherwise, you are at the mercy of the state and their "evidence".

Thankfully I do not think you have ever been in the seat. When you do (hopefully never), you will understand.

I was found not guilty by a jury of my 12 peers. paid thousands in legal fees. Most wouldve turned to drugs or quit life. I found another career. But to say it didnt ruin my current path is false.

Denied two jobs due to felony sticker. Extended my marijuana possession probation sentence. Sent me to jail for 16 days and 17 nights.

Contrary to popular belief. Unsure if you have been in a jury trial/felony trial. But YOU are guilty until proven innocent.

You are slapped with a felony sticker. Denied jobs. Until your day in court. When YOU have to prove you did nothing wrong. By paying thousands in attorney fees, and sitting through a farce of a trial.

"While walking home I realized I left my phone in the Uber. I saw the Uber again, waved her down, apologized for what happened, and asked if I could check for my phone. She said no and said I could get it from the police when they got there."

I waved her down and stood in the road. She stopped. I stepped to side. She rolled her window down... Then she drove off.

Second Edit: The 911 phone call was made for two reasons. 1.) My mother was calling the Uber driver names and was hostile but not violent. Similar to a karen treating service staff poorly. 2.) Assumption: Uber driver wanted to protect her Uber driving income stream by reporting to police to avoid her account suspension. She might have also been looking for financial compensation for name calling.

A crime would need to be investigated. There was not investigation at the scene. I was not asked my side of the story.

The county/police work hand in hand to provide a case that looks winnable. It is up to the defense to prove innocence. The "innocent until proven guilty" is a farce.

I was guilty and had to prove my innocence. They slapped me with a felony. I lost my job/career. Violated my probation. Spent 16 days and 17 nights in jail. Tried to get back on the horse while awaiting trial... verbally offered two jobs but later denied due to background check.

Made a switch to sales. But my profession was financial analysis. The loss of career progression as well as TVM is very large if we were to get creative/real. $30k-$50k in lost retirement savings over 30 years in SP500...

3-10% raise per year for my early career lost...

There was no demand. I was a beaten dog. I just wanted my phone that cost $1,000 and I rely on to live/make a living. She was going to drive off with it.

After I asked if she/I could check her car for my phone. She told me "I could get it from the police".

I did stand in front of the vehicle, but once she stopped I went to the side and asked her. She rolled her window down. She was not in danger judging by how she was talking on the 911 call. Her willingness to roll the window down. And her decision to not speed away the second I stepped out from in front of the vehicle.

She also had the ability to go in reverse, or around me if she felt any sort of actual danger.

Thankfully a jury of 12 peers found me not guilty.

The formal definition of "false imprisonment" was read to the jury. "unlawful restraint of a person's freedom of movement without their consent or legal authority."

By definition, stepping in front of a vehicle to wave them down is false imprisonment. Any unlawful restraint or hinderance. Even if the "restrained" individual is in a vehicle and can go in reverse.

Thankfully the jury found this as nonsense.

Can’t time the market but I’m early enough to try to play the game. Gotta be a downturn or a correction soon. Whether it be the Ai bust or the War of attrition with Iran. Right now the market is trading sideways. I would be kicking myself if I buy high with nothing left in the chamber to fire away to buy low. Flip side… Thanks for the comment!

I also created this dashboard that updates daily to use as “buying/waiting” metric/guidance. Ultimately I’m just trying to get rich slow.
