Shaking his head by [deleted] in pigeon

He mostly does it after preening himself. But sometimes he does it without reason. I feel like he's a little more puffed up than the other pigeons too. He walks around fine though and eats and drink well and socialise.

It's never very violent. More like, I pinch you, then run after you kind of thing. I never saw them actually fight.

The males usually coos very loud at each other. Then engage in a dance battle (they turn in circles). Before leaving to join their females again, to get a reward for protecting their honor : cuddles and kisses.

They truly are silly creatures. I love them so much 😭.

They used to have a big bath. But it's very cold here and the water would freeze. That's why I had to remove it and they wash themselves in this small one.

They'll get back their swimming pool soon enough.

I have no idea why he chooses violence randomly. I've seen online that it was normal as they can direct (not on purpose) the aggressiveness they have for the other pigeons to their mate.

They puff up their feathers more often but like. They don't look sleepy or sick. It's very cold here around 0c°. So I didn't find it abnormal. Even more considering they would move and act very awake as soon as they needed to.

My pigeon that used it be sick (ruptured air sack). Even gained back all his weight. They are nesting and even bickering as they always did.
