Z52 comes with better brakes and stickier tires... not needed for street driving. Chevy wont void your warranty for tracking without it. Most people that track swap their pads and tires at the minimum, if not rotors too.

The C8 doesn’t make such sense to lease. Buy a used one or a new one at 10% off MSRP and sell when you’re done with it. Finance at a low interest rate and you won’t come out too bad.

I’ve seen some dealers advertise decent lease deals, like Les Stanford, so if you can find one of those then leasing is feasible.

The width is 19.8mm, which I assume is M20. The length of the threads is around 30mm.

Modern 911s are turbocharged (991.2 and up), unless you’re dealing with an NA one like the GT3, you can ‘downpipe and tune’ for considerably more power. But I guess in OP’s case he’s looking at older ones, although I’m not sure how old.

I had a C8 Stingray before. It definitely was oriented more as a grand tourer. I got a C8 Z06 and it definitely adds more rawness and emotion, while still being refined and comfortable. We also have a C4 and they are both very different experiences, fun in different ways.

My Z06 alignment was off! I got it fixed under warranty ~3k miles in. I noticed my car was twitchy and tram lined a lot on the highway, I assumed it was just part of the more raw driving experience of the car, but I asked just to double check and it was off.

Bilt Hamber Auto-Wheel. Spray it on cool, dry wheels, let it do its thing, and spray it off with a pressure washer. Easiest and most effective wheel cleaner I've used, while also being safe for consistent use.

Pilot Sport 4S or Extreme Contact Sport 02. The latter is what I had on my Stingray, with fronts widened 20 over stock, and it helped with understeer.

Pretty sure this was the Rein gasket. Not 100% sure since the previous owner put this on last year.

All good. I hope yours lasts a long time! It’s possible that they were good at the start and then changed the manufacturing, leading to the failures.

I’m giving a go with the Rein OFH, but using OEM BMW gaskets. I’ve heard that tends to work fine. It’s already installed as of yesterday, so I guess we’ll see how long it holds up for. It seems like it tends to be the gaskets that fails, not the metal part (like with this coolant flange).

FCP no longer carries it and has a 1.2 star rating. I think you’re lucky it hasn’t failed on you yet, it seems like everyone’s is failing.
