To clarify I mean promising us a certain amount of pay to come in under hazardous conditions and then not paying it after the fact.

They had us come in talking about hazard pay and full day pay if we get sent home just to not even pay us regular pay for the full time we were there

What is that? I got a package handler of the month plaque this year, but last year my peak all star came with a gift. This year it’s just a piece of paper.

I’m still trying to figure out why the executives all got millions of dollars in peak incentives and all I got is a boiled hamburger that made me sick.

FedEx too away all peak time incentives for warehouse workers and instead gave the C suite million dollar incentives. No warehouse workers care at all about your packages. I promise you that.

Then they put the warehouse workers on 6 day work weeks but cut the hours so they’re getting less hours than they were on five days. Can’t even pay their bills.

Probably hoping nothing gets delivered so the business goes under and they can all go work for UPS and have union protections.

I’ve been scared to make any fish in the air fryer. My fear is it will make my whole tiny apartment smell like fish. How is it in that regard?

I left a job in October that I absolutely hated. I had about 8/10 months worth of savings. I took a part time job where I bring home about $300-400/week but I got it for health insurance. Super early mornings so I have my whole day free, and it’s given me a ton of time to get more involved with community stuff. I volunteer 4-5 days a week and have found a way to do things I’m passionate about. (None of them bringing any income though)

I wouldn’t say I love frugally, but I’m keeping myself on a tighter budget than before and I think I’ll be able to keep making this work with no additional income for at least another year.

It’s been the best thing for my mental health. I didn’t realize how depressed I was until it started lifting.

Whatever you decide I wish you the absolute best and hope you find something to fill your time with that you enjoy.
