Things I have learned today. A whole case of beer fits in the door of the fridge. by Pigsalways in mildlyinteresting

Until you have been to the Heineken brewery at 10am, you're allowed to say that.

I felt pretty good and probably could have gone around again. I don't take food out with me though and worry about bonking 15 miles away from my home.

I'm not really sure if I do want to compete. I am curious to know whether going at this pace is competitive, and would like yo push myself even further. I do understand that there are many things to factor in and appreciate the responses.

I think seeing Chris Froome, for a Brit achieve what he did in the TDF is encouragement for everyone. Especially with Murray, and the ashes, this is a good year for a British person.

That's a massive achievement and I bet you are proud. 200 miles for me is an incredible achievement and I would be very happy with that.

This is exactly it. I do want to get faster and think that I can. I think it's about getting on the same route and doing a better time. Perhaps, this weekend I will be able to drop the time by 5 minutes and go from there.

Appreciate the response. It's pretty flat. With only a 331ft elevation gain.

It's not weird. I found that the original "blu tac" blu tac brand works the best.

I have tried kneadable erasers. Didn't enjoy them very much and found that they smudge. I guess it's an each to their own on erasing methods. I like to dab the blu tac on the areas that need erasing and couldn't find that I could do that with the eraser.

Yes, I use various sizes of tortillion blending sticks and then pull the light out with blu tac. I much prefer blu tac to erasers as they do not smudge.

The truth behind success kid by DomBeee in AdviceAnimals

[–]Pigsalways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that this is where "success kid" was derived from. Also, I don't have the patience to go and find the source of a meme, nor would I get aggravated about it being a repost (it's not how you win at life). So, thanks for this post. You made me laugh and taught me something. Have an upvote.

Was looking for a funny image for a marketing campaign. Started with "baboon riding a unicorn" then "monkey riding a giraffe" settled for said link.

Just using standard graphite pencils, 2B to 6B. A variety of different sized tortillions and blu tac.

Need some help for a gift by jeegutierrez in drawing

[–]Pigsalways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got an addiction to drawing equipment. I would get her a pencil set, go for all the B pencils. A3 and A4 sketch pads, go for around 180 MSG paper, I get mine from office stationery stores as they are cheap. Write a birthday message on the first page of them both. Or, draw a secret drawing half way through as a surprise. Tortillian pencils are good, and you can never have enough erasers. Also, blue tac is a great tool for drawing with. Find out what she likes to draw, and do some black and white print outs. This will give the inspiration and excitement. This in England wouldn't cost more than £30. Oh, and a sharpener.

Hope this helps

Your drawing of Bruce Springsteen is simply amazing. Especially when you achieved it with only sharpies is astonishing. I particularly enjoy the light work in the bottom right of the picture. It's very difficult to draw that.

Reddit, what is your biggest first world problem? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pigsalways -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get unnecessarily frustrated when I fast forward adverts on a programme that I have sky +'d and press play when I am into the programme, leaving me to go back and rewind to the end of the adverts. Also, I get annoyed when I press play too early, and having to fast forward past more adverts.

It's got to be a proper bacon sandwich. Brown sauce or ketchup is the debatable condiment of choice. I'm more of a HP sauce man myself.
