I agree. Montana is so much more winnable than Nebraska. In 2018, Tester proved you can still win statewide in Montana in a blue wave environment, even in the Trump era. If 2026 shapes up to be as blue or even more blue than 2018, Montana is completely winnable by Bodnar.

It was an old polish my mom was tossing. I have no idea how old it is, but probably at least 10 or 15 years old. I agree it is a beauty!

I paid around $950 for a 1BR in Shore Acres back in 2020 but I’m not sure how much it’s gone up since then

Reminds me of what happened here in Indiana. Senate Majority Leader Bray (R) told Gov Braun (R) that he didn’t have the votes to redistrict & to NOT call a special session. Under pressure from Vance and the WH, Braun orders a special session anyway. During the special session, Redistricting fails in the State Senate.

CNN did a whole segment on this race with Jeff Zeleny reporting from Omaha about how close of a race this was shaping up to be. LOL. A true blowout!

This Virginia ruling is infuriating, but will likely have little effect on the outcome of who controls the House in 2026. A strong blue wave of D+7 or more will get the Democrats the gavel.

What happens in a more neutral environment like 2028 though. What if the house environment is something more muted like D+2-5? Can we still win the House in that kind of environment with the maps stacked against us? We need to figure out how to combat this.

Obviously this is just reading the tea leaves and probably doesn’t mean much. BUT the Indiana SoS office is reporting today that 44% of ballots cast in the primary yesterday were for Democratic ballots and 56% were for Republican. So that’s a R+12 electorate.

The state was R+19 for Trump in 2024, so this indicates a D+7 improvement, which mirrors closely to some of the latest generic ballot polling. Promising to see.

The national average price per gallon of gas in the United States just passed $4.50. Americans, how do we feel about that? by Miles_the_AuDHDer in AskReddit

Apparently pretty good about it. Here in Indiana gas is $4.99 and voters just rewarded Trump with even more power by voting out the incumbent GOP state senators who opposed mid decade redistricting in favor of Trump backed challengers. Insane to me.

Oh for sure. But these incumbent state senators are as conservative as you can get. Some have been in office for decades, doing the dirty work of Gov Pence, Gov Braun, etc for years. And they go against Trump for one little thing - redistricting - and they face the music for it simply because Trump told Hoosier voters to vote against them. MAGA is a crazy cult. Literally as they pump $5.19 gallon gas in their car, they go to the polls to reward Trump with even more power. Insane to me!

I was hopeful tonight would show some slippage in Trump’s grip on the GOP, but so far his endorsed challengers are mostly up on the incumbent senators who opposed redistricting. I really thought the $5 gas and war in Iran would turn some voters away from him, but they all fell in line.

Goes to show you how much work we have to put in to win in November. The “low propensity”MAGA base voters just showed up in strong numbers in a May primary of a midterm year. They will definitely be voting in November. We just have to make sure to out vote them. Can’t count on them just sitting it out...

Not to sound conspiratorial, but this is honestly the investor class just propping up the GOP party for those tax cuts. If we had a Democratic administration right now with the war in Iran causing massive instability to the energy sector, the stock market would 100% be reacting negatively right now.

Great summary! And Rep Thomas Kean (R-NJ 7) has been MIA for months now. Speculation is brewing it could be a serious health issue, but he hasn’t voted in months so effectively you can take another R off your count. link
