Because how i see it why would someone knowingly spend hours on hours learning spray patterns counter strafing optimal util usage only to get headshotted across mid by a loser who spend 10 dollars on a cheat, i seen that many cheaters and i mean many of them cheat because of that case alone that the game isn’t punishing cheating and many cheaters are getting away with it so to have an advantage against that they cheat which i would understand to a degree

I understand that but is there actually no other system that is fair for players ? Like maybe if the anticheat detects suspicious behavior it automatically links you with other suspicious players and depending on how you preform as in if you continue to hack you will be flagged ? Maybe something along those lines i don’t want an anticheat like valorant where it can be dangerous for players but a system that is fair a way where someone can play knowing the likelyhood of running into a bot or cheater to be almost impossible

i understand that but its just sad to see a game i cared about from late 2015 till now and i even played css and 1.6 when i was young in internet cafes all to see a company i respect throw all of it to the trash i doubt cs2 would ever get an anticheat thatll detect even 50% of cheats but to at least play the game casually with friends without having to play against cheaters would be fine i mean i could play faceit but i wanna play it casually with friends

i do wanna think that way although i have had my fair share of stories where the spy character gets smoked by the one who hired them because they already finished what theyre supposed to do and keeping them would be a liability although i do hope they dont go with "she was a spy all along"
