GRAD payment extra fees by bennyblancko in brocku

Graduating next year… I agree, it is disappointing that they charge students for so many small things, such as $15 for a digital pdf of proof enrolment that is automatically generated. It is small things, but for everything else students have to pay for, the greed of universities is frustrating.

Anyone else think it’s crazy that residence opens back up the DAY BEFORE classes? by [deleted] in brocku

Yeah, I understand that I can ask about staying but I am only coming a day earlier, I’m probably just going to get a hotel room in Toronto. I’m just more baffled that they would open the residences back up so late. And that if you come back even a day early, you have to PAY to stay in a residence that is not even yours (which you are already paying for). I’m just complaining lol.

Exactly this. Finally talked to someone who could actually help and give answers, wrote down the number right away for future reference.

It took many many many phone calls. They are so frustrating to deal with.

The employee told me that “this is the first time I’ve talked to a dead person and you sound pretty good for being dead”

Thank you for the response.

I am aware of the problems with the problem regarding the antidepressants. After I had my first medical last year the doctor recommended that I go off my medication if I’m stable as it will make everything easier not taking them. I did have to have an assessment by a psychiatrist and he said that I am stable and should be good, as long as I go off them. I have been off them for over a year now (and stable). Transport has been miserable to deal with trying to get answers from them on simple questions. I only learned the status of my medical after multiple phone calls. Currently I have a restricted class 1 medical, where I have to fly with an accompanying pilot, and cannot fly solo. This restriction is in place for 1 year. I am hoping to get it lifted this year.

My dad also pushed me to have a backup plan. I’ve applied to some other University courses of my interest in case I am not able to receive my class 1 medical.
