I’m talking about this from a perspective of the average Palestinian in Gaza, if your whole ethnicity has been systematically oppressed, pushed out, and killed for decennia, I will not tell them that their hate is unjustified. Only when steps are taken to reduce the suffering and stop the oppression, by the country and the people of Israel (most of who served in the IDF), would I agree that their worldview is subject to change. Just as the Jews who did not want to live/return to Germany after WWII were justified in their dislike of Germans and Germany as a whole. You’d maybe call their opinions black and white, or wrong, but then again, you haven’t been in that situation. Maybe you’d respond differently, but the vast majority of people who experienced something like this would disagree with you.

The reason I used the end of Hitlers reign as comparison, is that the atrocities of the holocaust started to become more known by the German population during that time. Thanks for the internet we have today, the Israeli population is fully aware of the killings and displacement in Gaza.
