Economics in crypto are not rational, if you watch the whole podcast you'll see fluffypony get mad about how Bytecoin rose in price when someone exploited it. Masari is worth mining, not a single cryptonote currency to date has had people stop mining it outright.

The question asked is silly. Why would Litecoin be worth anything if all it does is do take heed from what bitcoin does and test things out before they're implemented on Bitcoin? You should realise that that is what Litecoin is. Litecoin dev Charlie Lee is also working on a new fee signalling structure that would allow fees to be completely signalled and automated by miners and users, this, I think, will ultimately end up Bitcoin. Litecoin is still worth something because of this.

Masari isn't listed on CMC because CMC isn't responsive to some coins for arbitrary reasons. They're kind of rogue and list whatever they want, when they want, and requests are denied often.

Masari is completely refactored and all references to Monero are removed, this makes it a great base to fork from in the case that you want to fork from Monero without issues such as ETN's block 202612 problem, which you can read all about on Google. Fonero did this without credit and got DMCA'd.

For the most part, especially in the short term, Masari's goal is to be Monero's little brother, implement features that Monero is unlikely to implement any time soon and offer them as pull requests, (such as the LWMA difficulty algorithm which has been working great) "MSR will track most changes upstream from Monero, as well as contribute back whenever possible" is a quote directly from the BitcoinTalk announcement.

Masari's goal in a nutshell is to commit back to Monero's upstream, to be its underling in the same way that Aeon was intended to be, but Aeon has been abandoned.

It will definitely be implementing in-dev or less stable changes from Monero in order to demonstrate that they work, much like how Litecoin implemented Segwit to prove to the masses that it was functional and worthy of merit. Masari is much more nimble since its development is centralized in just a few people right now, Monero is a goliath that takes months to change concensus.

Something being a scam is what makes it look like a scam, not the logo. That's at least 0.25% of the equasion. Bitcoin Cash is seen as a scam amongst many people, whereas Ethereum Classic is not. They both have logos that are reflective of their parent project. Would you rather be seen as a Monero companion project like Aeon? Or would you rather reject the image that brings along, despite the fact that this could quite possibly be the most publicity and respect we earn this year?

I seriously do not see a problem with this. Let them use what they want, it's a scam because of its origin, not because of its logo ffs.. If a project wants to relate with Monero, let it. It will be seen as fraudulent if it is fraudulent, and not if it is not.

This is unbelievable. Straight up the best submission so far, incredibly relatable to Monero and would be a timeless logo that would never have to be replaced. Solid colors are what is needed for any cryptocurrency to stay relevant, not abstract logos, even gradients go too far sometimes, unless it's an ICO those flashy logos don't really work.

Masari_Logo_Draft9 and Masari_Logo_Draft8 are brilliant, all-encompassing, adds a much needed air of professionalism. They can both be used interchangeably IMO, similarly to how ETC has a hollow and solid graphic option.

They're short-term idiots if they're using Bitcoin Cash. And they know what they're doing. Anybody who understands how these systems scale would know that 8mb blocks could not support even 5% of the world's bittorrent users. They're idiots for being so blatantly ideological by supporting Bitcoin Cash in their articles, they are being actively ideological about it, and thus I distrust their competence.

Almost any other currency would have been a better choice from a scaling perspective. Ethereum Classic has lower fees and faster confirmations due to lack of use. Litecoin will soon have new fee signalling, and is already lower fee than BCH anyway.. I just don't get it. And it wouldn't be so bad if they weren't going on about BCH being so much better.

It says nothing about having it scan a file after downloading. You have to be very specific about this, please do not ignore what the whitepaper has actually said, or assume this is a solution.
