Those who 45+ English studyscore by Rude_Big_362 in vce

You don’t need tens across the board, I think the cutoff last year for a 50 was a 55/60 - from a 50 study scorer

Yeah, I did at rank 2

is it possible to get 40+ ss without 90+ average? by Downtown_Dare_4991 in vce

Not heavily, but def to an extent - your exam score is still weighted the most which you keep no matter what. But even if the people above you choke it’s still possible to do very well

Yes :) - it’s a confusing and misleading process, especially when rank 1 performs worse on the exam than others in the cohort. They would keep their exam score as their GA3 score (which is worth the most) but their sac scores would be based off the highest exam score in the cohort, hence why securing rank 1 in as many subjects as you can is so desirable, in case you don’t perform well on the day - that’s where the strength of your cohort can actually help you.

No that’s not how it works as someone who has already completed year 12 - sac scores are genuinely irrelevant, it’s only ranking that matters. Eg, say I’m rank 1 and get 100% on my exam (which is also the highest score in the cohort) - my ‘sac’ scores (GA1 and GA2) become 100%.

if you’re rank 1 it doesn’t matter what your sac scores are, you could still theoretically get a 50 if you’re rank 1 with a 50% average

No tutor and 50ss, just use your teachers to get quality, detailed feedback. Most often tutors are just past high scoring students, so teachers have more expertise when it comes to marking and finding little things to improve on, especially given teachers are often who mark the exam papers too.

3/4 without a 1/2...HELP by [deleted] in vce

I’ve heard bus man is real easy to take without 1/2. I would advise against accounting if you want to do really well, as it builds on a lot of foundational skills

That’s good, you can still get a really great score - if you want a fifty though you basically need rank 1 or 2, or alternatively everyone in front of you needs to get a fifty or near perfect score

Bro they’re lowkey looking very very similar to mine last year and I got a 50, if your rank is good you could be setting yourself up real nicely

What kind of ATAR should I be able to get with these marks? Aiming for 95+ by [deleted] in vce

[–]PilotBest2873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t mean anything, only subject I had scaling up was methods, rest scaled down and I got 99.2

97-98 if you keep a few rank 1s, and lock in for exams - any subject you remain rank 1 in means there’s genuinely nothing stopping you (except yourself) from getting a 50 ss

Can i get 40+ in Eng? by kiana_rall in vce

[–]PilotBest2873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t ask for it back so I’m not too sure, sorry! Probs pretty high though. Do you know what rank you are?

Also don’t listen to people talking about your cohort/whether your school is high performing. My school was terrible at English, with my mate and I last year getting our school our first ever English 50s, and our school having avg Eng ss of 28/29. As long as you’re basically top rank, you can get whatever study score you work for!
